FC: Reverend Carla Valentine Pryne, Priest-In-Charge Church of the Ascension, Magnolia, Washington July, 2008 - April, 2010
1: Thank you, Carla, for being God's unique vessel in leading us through our transition. Our paths leading us together, as well as those of our futures, were and are unanticipated and unforeseen in many ways. Yet, our experience together has been a living testament that, when we surrender our wills to Him, praying for His guidance always, and continue to trust in His wisdom as we move forward, He will see that our journey is one that we can make and in which we will grow in ways we had not anticipated. The gifts that God has given you to so quickly develop a keen and deep understanding of people you have never met and create an enduring bond of love with them, while simultaneously empowering them to become stronger in their faith, more personally engaged in their own future, and capable to embrace and develop a loving relationship for one who will follow you, are truly divine. There is no greater love that one can have for another person than to give unconditionally with the purpose of enabling the object of their affection to become stronger, more independent, and prepared to develop a meaningful and lasting relationship with someone to take their place as circumstances require. You have exemplified that kind of love to us. It is the love of a mother for her child. It is the love of Christ, Hopefully, God has shown you that same love through us, and that you have been blessed for your future journey, as well. Images are nanoseconds of life and spirit. They do not have full perspective. They are not a complete account. Notwithstanding their limitations, these images are offered as catalysts for your recollection of the love we have known together.
