The 1st annual Canucks Trip! The "boys" took off to Vancouver for Tanner's first NHL game. It was a surprise and we told Tanner in the morning before he left for school. He was very excited to attend his first Canucks game and to finally get to go to Vancouver. They arrived late in the evening and took the skytrain to the hotel in downtown Vancouver. The next morning they went to a coffee shop for breakfast and walked to Rogers Arena to watch the game.. | Vancouver Jan 20th-22nd 2012
Bring it on Sharks! Final score: Canucks 4 Sharks 3

Our Sleeping Accommodations? | Beavers behaving beautifully
On February 4th 2012 the !st Lacombe Beavers spent the night at the Calgary Zoo. We slept in the Rain forest Pavilion with the Gorilla's. We were able to tour around the rain forest late at night. Of course the only animals awake were the bats but it was still a very cool experience! We woke very early in the morning for breakfast and were able to watch the gorilla's start their day. We learned that we should never stare directly at the,m and to sit with our backs to the glass and they will come up to play. We really enjoyed our night at the zoo!
"Mommy! Take a picture of me!"
After last year, we are so grateful to have such a mild winter! This was our first, and only really big snow dump. We've been waiting all winter for snow mountain to come back...here's hoping!!
SNOW MOUNTAIN!! We missed you! We thought we were not going to see you this year! And for the first time ever, Tanner had a proper "snow" day instead of a "cold" day so it was actually warm enough to go outside and play on his day off! Logan even came out to join us!!
 March 3rd, 2012
Before....and.....After! We built our snowman on March 12th and he quickly became a very skeletal snowman...and then, just a giant snowball! Of course, his nose never did stay on well...Audrey took a bite out of it before we even put it on!
 sweetie cutie my tiny beauty
I know, that one day, you will probably HATE me for taking this picture, but you were just so cute, I HAD to! | Darling
The last weekend in March The Blackburn's were in town for Ethan's hockey tourney. Tanner and Elijah played while Audrey and Ellianna were so adorable together! It would be a dream come true if they lived closer to us!
I love how well Tanner and Audrey play together. She is getting old enough to play real games and Tanner is the best teacher. Audrey just idolizes Tanner and loves to have his attention.

1st Lacombe Beavers Spring camp out 2012 The group camped at Camp Rehoboth at Gull Lake, on April 29th and 30th. It had been rainy all week but the sun came out just for them! The camp was beautiful and the cabins were so nice and comfortable. The kids went for a hike, made lava lamps, and shot bottle rockets. They had such a great time and as they were driving back, the clouds came back and the rain started again!
sigh... "excited" for her first recital... | Hair practice! | Recital Day is here! We have been waiting for this day for a long time! We are so excited to see Tanner and Audrey dance on the big stage! Gramma, Poppa, & Gran were all here to watch!
The picture below was at the rehearsal...it should've been a good indication of how Audrey would be at the recital. My poor sweetie did not want to go on stage. If it were not for Tanner's teacher, Miss Alyssa, she wouldn't have gone on at all! Once there she refused to dance and just stood on stage peeking over her shoulder. however, because she wasn't paying attention she had to be called off stage which resulted in her very own round of applause! | HOT,HOT,HOT!
Never Say Never ~Justin Bieber~ | These boys really pulled it together and did a fantastic job! Tanner was so nervous about dancing in front of such a large audience but he was amazing!
The recital ended on a great note. Audrey perked up for the Grande Finale and smiled and was so cute on stage. Afterwards, Tanner was presented with a scholarship. Mom and Dad just about burst with pride!
Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice...
Now that dance is done for the year.....
It's time for a hair chop! This is Audrey's summer hair....she absolutely HATES to have her hair brushed so it is time to do something drastic! She loves it and thinks she looks just like Dora! Mommy thinks it makes her look so much older though!

We found a great mountain bike park and playground when we first arrived. After the hot tub and supper we explored the downtown and some of the residential streets. We saw some interesting sights and a very mangy elk! The best part....the super fancy chocolate milks from Starbucks!
Banff Gondola This was Audrey's first gondola ride and she loved it! She was scaring me by hanging out the window! | “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.” ~ Helen Keller

“I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I'm going is what inspires me to travel it.”~Rosalia de Castro | On our way down from the Gondola we decided to make a quick stop to see Bow Falls. All the times I've been to Banff and I never even knew they were there! They were very pretty and the kids enjoyed playing in the water and skipping rocks.
Scout Windup 2012 This is Tanner's last year as a Beaver. At the year end picnic he "swam up" to Cubs...and so did Daddy
 Another Beaver in the making?
