1: Trujillo, Peru | National Marinera Festival | January 22-27
2: the Marinera Festival is an event to celebrate the Marinera dance. | Founded in the 1950's | Its a contest of 600 dancing couples.
3: the Dance | the Marinera is a coastal dance of Peru. It is a graceful and romantic way for couples to come together. It shows the reenactment of the couples courtship. the woman begins very provocative. then the man comes in and greets her with his hat in hand. This dance has gained a lot of Recognition for this technique. Making this one of the most popular traditional dances of Peru.
4: Beauty Contest | the girls are chosen from among the daughters of the members of the "La Libertad” Club. Each contestant represents an organization.
5: Running Bulls & Cockfighting | Peru is the fourth most popular for bullfighting country. In 2008 the Bull fighting industries organized about 377 bullfights a year. Bullfighting season starts on November 1st and ends on November 23rd.
6: Horse Display | Can go in a Marinera dance. Where the man in on the horse and the woman is on the ground. | the masters of the horses are so dedicated to teaching their animal the difficult dances.
7: Peruvian Paso horses on display at Mamacona, Lurin | With the culture of Peru being loving and Caring. It say even how permeated the local horse shows are.
