Haiku | The Sun Rise | Early birds at song As a yellow glowing light Warmly emerges .

Contrast | A Thunder Storm | Boom! Crack! Pow! Trees falling in the lonely wood . The sound of cold rain Beating against the window pain. . A chilling wind sweeps 'cross the porch As the blackened sky is painted with an Iridescent streak of silver light . | The clouds have gone, And are no more . The grass warmly glimmers with dew Oh, sunshine fills the open air Bringing with it The gentile stripes of a rainbow .

Free Verse | Precious Life | You start , you finish And begin again For there is no telling How many times One may return After once they have left . Cherish the ones you do hold so dear , For there is no telling When they shall disappear . | The sky is the limit . Be gay , be free For what if this moment Was your last? Days are timed As if on a clock . Have no regrets , Live your life As if to die .

Ode | Ode to Katelynn | Oh, ode to Katelynn for her eyes are of a gentile brown , Long hair kissed with golden rays of sun . She is both a kind and caring soul Who was there for me in my darkest hour . | Her personality is like one of comforting light , Lifting your spirits the instant you come within her presence . She lends help to others in need of assistance And always sees life as half way full . | Katelynn Shilling is more than a friend , But that of a sister . Thank you for always having my back .

Sonnet | In the Evening | In the evening the moon doth rise , The sun has gone to bed . Sweet melodies eco through starry skies , For the birds have not yet fled . The cooling wind does blow the trees , As limbs hit the glassy pain . No more do farmers out in fields need heave , For with fading light brings promise of rain . The younglings bundled warm and tight , Awaiting mother's fond kiss . Eyes are closing for the night , | Their dreams do fill with joyous bliss . The air now smooth as a luscious fleece , All is silent , quiet , at peace .
