1: Introduction This scrapbook is about the topics in Billy Joel's song "We Didn't Start The Fire". I would like to dedicate my scrapbook to Billy Joel and everybody who helped with his song.

2: Peter Pan Peter Pan was released in 1953. It was directed by Clyde Geronimi and Wilfred Jackson The story is based on the play by J.M Barrie. Disney adapted the play for their version of the film. In the Disney version the story is about a girl who is taken by Peter Pan to a place called Neverland. In Neverland kids never grow up. The girl Wendy, Peter, and the Peter’s friends fight against captain hook and his pirates. In the end Wendy has to return to her home in London, England. This film is special because it was the final film that all nine members of Disney’s nine old men worked together on. Michael Jackson stated that peter Pan was his favorite movie ever. Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Wendy, and Tinker bell often make appearances in Disneyland attractions, parades, and ice shows. Peter Pan was the 13th Disney animated classic film.

3: Brooklyn dodgers 1955 was an epic year for Brooklyn baseball. Since 1949 New York had dominated baseball. They claimed every World Series title from 1949 to 1956. Except until 1955 Brooklyn hadn’t won one of them. It had been the New York Giants and the New York Yankees who dominated. The Brooklyn Dodgers had 98 wins and 55 losses in the regular season wich is an exceptional record in baseball. Another highlight of the Brooklyn dodger team is that they had Jackie Robinson. Jackie Robinson was the first black baseball player to play in the MLB (major league baseball). During the World Series the dodgers and Yankees played seven games (the World Series is the best of seven games). The Dodgers won the final game 1 to 0. This would be the only World Series title the dodgers would win in their Brooklyn location. Brooklyn would always remember this year because they finally beat their rivals from across the city.

5: Disneyland Disneyland was opened in Anaheim California on July 18, 1955. Walt Disney got the idea to do his park from visiting many fairs with merry-go-rounds and rides. All of the fairs he saw were only for one season. He had the idea to do the park in Anaheim (right outside of LA) where the temperatures were moderate all year. The opening day of the park did not go as planned. Disney set up an invitation only opening day but the tickets were easily counterfeited and it ended up that the park was highly over packed. The lines for rides were huge and parents ended up pushing their way through to put their child on a ride. The asphalt had just laid and it was a hot day so many women’s shoes sunk into the ground. The park got such bad reviews that Disney had the press come the next day to see the park. Everyone soon realized how great it was and wanted to come to Disneyland. After the success of Disneyland Disney began to work on Disneyworld in Orlando Florida, wich sadly he never got see finished.
