 ~Write Your Birthday Wishes Here~

It takes a long time to become young ~Pablo Picasso | Dad, as I reflect on my own childhood, I am reminded of the countless times I saw you exhibiting the youth and vibrance of someone far younger than you. I grew up listening to your treasured truths of my Georgian heritage...time and time again retelling of the Georigians strength, generosity, and passion for living life. So, today, it comes as no surprise to me that we are celebrating your 90th birthday....I expected nothing less. I must say, you are definitely not 90 years old but rather 90 years young! I am forever grateful to call you my dad. You have carefully, lovingly taught me the value of honest hard work, to always give a smile, to help anyone and everyone...and above all, to love and serve God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. These are priceless gifts. You will always be my daddy... and I will be forever catching up to your Youth. Happy 90th Birthday Dad ...with ALL my love ~ Christina

It takes a long time to become young ~Pablo Picasso | Happy Birthday Dad!! 90...it's amazing to think that you could even be that old! You've always been so spry and young at heart that you've enabled time to seemingly fly by. However the calendar tells us that this August 2011 we're celebrating the Creator's having blessed you with the experiences, travels, memories, knowledge, family and friends of nine decades on this planet. I'm glad that God in His wisdom decided to have me be a part of such a rich and interesting life. Though you're known for your energy , it's always been the quiet moments with you that I've treasured the most. Especially the times you sat down with me to draw. So, to my dear father from whom I've inherited my creativity, I've included one of YOUR drawings that I always enjoyed. I wish you a very Happy Birthday! May you retain a joyful heart, your boyish charm, and remain in good health. With God's grace, may we be blessed with your presence for another decade so that your family and friends may celebrate your 100th birthday with you in August 2021. Gaumarjos! Love Always, Nadia

I was immediately reminded of the wonderful effect that the mere mention of Alex’s name had around our house. ‘Uncle Alex is visiting’ meant good things. My father loved Alex dearly and on more than one occasion mentioned what an uplifting and positive spirit he had; someone who always knew how to see the silver lining and, he was a dancer! Furthermore, Alex was instrumental in getting my father to revisit his beloved Georgia one last time before he passed. Alex had already been back many times and saw no

reason why my dad should not visit one more time; an act for which I will always be grateful. Actually, that reminds me that whenever I think of Alex, I’m always struck by how he is truly a man on the go; someone who doesn’t sit still and will probably be growing a little bored with this text by now. So, Thank you again Alex for all you’ve done and all the happiness you have brought to the people in your life. Happy 90th Birthday, ~ David Galashvily
