FC: It's The Little Things In Life That Matter

Life brings simple pleasures to us every day. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories.

What a cutie Mathew is, he takes his Pooh Bear everywhere he goes... especially to bed, Theres no way hes falling asleep without it. As soon as he lies down he snuggles his face into his bear. Its adorable. Lately we've been having to take it to Grandma's and other places but we cant keep that up or else it's going to get wrecked very fast. It's still doing OK but for how long I'm not sure, at the amount he snuggles with it everyday it wont take long.

My Favorite Picture of the Year

 Happy Birthday | Nicholas

Story Time Lets Read a Book | Mathew's Favorite Bedtime Book

If there one thing Mathew truly loved it was when people would get right down to his level and play with him. I dont know what most kids are like but he was not that great at entertaining himself. He wanted to be entertained. He was just in his glory if you would get down on the floor with him and do random stuff with toys. The only thing he truly enjoyed was piling things. He would take toys and put them all in a giant pile or pile them into something like you can see in this picture below. | He took all our DVD's out of the shelf and piled them into his car and when they started falling out he got mad and shoved them in harder. It was funny at first when he was piling things but as he time went by it got old especially when the piles started including everything that wasnt bolted to the ground or too heavy for him to lift. Things like shoes, rugs, pillows books basically anything he could get his hands on and as time went on the piles got bigger and bigger some almost as big as me.

My Second Favourite Picture of the Year

This picture really doesnt have anything important in it just our Christmas tree and village but I wanted to add it because on the evening of December 19 th with only the Christmas lights lighting the area, Brendan proposed to me. On this day we were offically engaged. It was a very romantic evening. Right before he asked me he got really serious and kind of stopped talking, I didnt really understand what was going on but about a half a second before he did it I figured out. I was so excited. I pretty much knew it was coming though because we had talked about it on and off, I just didnt know when he was going to do it. In fact we started kind of talking about not even 2 weeks after we started dating not real seriously but we were mentioning it. Apparently he was super nervous which makes me laugh becuase I know he knew what my answer would be. | December 19th, 2009

 Merry Christmas

 Christmas 2008

 A Walk on the Boardwalk

 Winter Time Fun

 Just | Chillin'

 Grandma turns 70

Mathew always looked so cute all bundled up in his little snowsuit. We used to take him out for walks in winter and it was very COLD. Not as cold as it was walking to school at 8:00 in the morning though. Uhgg just thinking about it makes me shiver, I would get to school and I my body would be numb for about 15 minutes. That jogging stroller did excellent in the snow though with those big bike wheels I had no problem pushing it. I always tried to make time to take Mathew out and do something with him even if it felt like I never had any time. All year all I ever thought about was school or the wedding everything else just kind of bounced in and out of nessecity.

The one thing that we did when we would occasionally have some free time was go to the boardwalk. We did a few times in the winter and the summer, it was mostly nice to just get out and not be studying for school or preparing for the wedding. Plus we both wanted to be out getting exercise, so we could lose a few pounds before the the BIG day. We were a little stressed about it well I think it was mostly me but Brendan says he was too. I was just scared to gain any weight because I had already ordered my dress in the size I needed and if I gained to much weight it might not fit so yea stress!

 In Our Own Little World

It's On! | We got Angel just after Easter from Ann-Marie and she was so much fun. See Monkey is getting older and slower, and well Angel is just a young little thing. She tore around the house like a crazy cat, her favorite thing to do was attack Monkey which was awesome to watch. We would just sit there and howl at them. She was such a cute little white fuzz ball,

One thing that was really great about this summer was that it was hot right when we needed it to be. As soon as we were all finished with school and then after the wedding right through September we were able to go to the beach and Mathew could swim in the pool at Grandma's. Normally September cools down but this year September was the hottest month of the summer. It was nice considering we had no time really in July and August to do anything because we were so busy. | Plus this year was really Mathew's first year to get to swim in a pool, last year he was still to young to swim. He sure enjoyed it though, I'm pretty sure it was like the best thing ever in his books. We would go over to Grandma and Grandpa's and he would be in and out of the pool for hours. It was relaxing for us too because didn't have to walk around the yard all day long. Oh and that little tree stump he's sitting on is where Mathew and Grandma would sit and eat fruit chews it was kind of his spot.

 My 22nd Birthday

 A Day at the Park

We stayed at the park all day today, it was such a nice day to just be outside doing whatever and Mathew had a blast. First he played on the swings and what not and then we went walking all over the park on the trails they have. Mathew sure lucked out he got to get a piggyback ride all over which of course he thought was great, by the time we were finished walking the trails we were pretty much ready for bed. But we stayed and Mathew fed the ducks and ran up and down the hills for awhile. By the time we left it was supper, we were starving and ready for a nice long nap if I remember right Mathew didn't even make it home he fell asleep in about 2 minutes once we got in the car.

 Mathew Attacks

This is such an adorable picture of Mathew, I just love it. This was the one day we decided to take out the sprinkler to see if Mathew would run through it. Well he wasn't interested in doing that but he had lots of fun filling his pail up. It was kind of fun for us too because the water coming from it was freezing so we would chase him around and of course each other. I know I filled a couple buckets to throw them at Brendan. Just one of those fond summer memories!
