BC: We are excited about what the future holds for us as a family, and look forward to embarking on this next part of our journey. We cannot imagine how difficult this decision must be for you to make, but we know that it is a decision you are making for the love of your child. We would love to meet you in person if you would like that opportunity. We hope you have peace during this difficult time. -Mike & Holly

1: Dear Birthparent, We are so grateful you are taking the time to read our profile and getting to know us. We do not know your situation, but we can only imagine that choosing adoptive parents for your child is a difficult decision. It must take a great deal of courage and love for you to make an adoption plan. Although we expected to be able to begin a family naturally, we are eager to adopt a child as our very own. Ultimately, we want what is best for you and your child, and we would be thrilled and honored to invest our lives in him or her.
2: Mike is my friend, my helper, my handy man, and my strongest support. He is very affectionate and gives great hugs. He doesn't always do or say the right thing but he always listens and tries very hard to understand my needs. He is always available to help me in any way I need. He is a loyal son who helped to take care of his father when he became ill. He now helps his mother around her house whenever she needs it. Mike would do anything for his friends, often helping them with moves or fixing their computers when they break. | Mike by Holly | putting in a fence | project car
3: Mike can be goofy at times. He takes me by surprise when he breaks out in a random song while we're driving in the car. He loves building things and working in the yard. He also enjoys restoring his classic car. I know Mike will make a fantastic father. He has a strong work ethic and I know he will do anything to make sure his family is taken care of. I know I'm lucky to be married to such a kind and loving man. | with our friend's son | in a friend's wedding | on our Honeymoon | In the rain forest in St Lucia
4: Holly is my friend, my confidence, and my strength. She is the one person I know I can share anything with. I am always amazed at the level of devotion she has for her family. Although most of her family lives several hours away she always finds a way to make time to see them a least twice a year. Her commitment to helping children through her volunteer work collecting Christmas donations for children and helping with an annual party for foster children who graduate from high school are just two of the many things I admire about her. | HOLLY, by Mike | Holly on our wedding day | Botanical Gardens in St Lucia
5: Holly always looks at the best in people. Although she does not always agree with everything I say or do, she never looks down on me. No matter how bad my day has been I always feel better when I come home and see her infectious smile. Holly has never turned down a friend in need. When I look at her and see all the obstacles she has faced in her life I know she is one of the strongest people I have ever met. The one thing that means most to me is having her by side. No matter what trials lie ahead I know I will never face them alone. | College Graduation | Holly and her niece Stephanie | Holly and sister Jolene | at a friends wedding shower
6: 2003: We meet and start spending time together. | 2005: We decide we want to be more than friends. | 2006: We get engaged! | Our Story | We met through friends in 2003. We were friends for about a year before we decided to start dating. We were blessed to be part of a great group of friends who spent a lot of time together playing games, going camping, canoeing and just hanging out. During that time we got to know each other really well and knew we wanted to spend our lives together. Mike proposed to Holly on Christmas Day in 2006. We had a small wedding in July of 2007 with family and friends . | 2007: We get married!
7: 2008: We move into our new home. | 2011: We decide to pursue adoption after trying to have a baby for 3 years. | We both knew we wanted to start a family right away. We tried to have children after we got married but after a few years of trying and seeking fertility treatments it became evident that we wouldn't be able to conceive. Although our inability to have children has been trying at times, we would not trade that time for anything. We have grown so much in our marriage and friendship, and we now know with even more certainty how much we want to be parents. We can't wait to grow our family through adoption.

Holly has three sisters and two brothers. They live in Michigan, Kentucky, Virginia and Florida. Holly's childhood included many transitions.
