S: Scott and Carol Ann
FC: Carol Ann and Scott
Thank you for taking the time to read our book. We're Carol Ann and Scott. We'd like to provide as much information as we can about ourselves, our family and friends, our home, and our values so that you can be comfortable knowing that your child will be going to a caring, loving household. Know that we are thinking of you and have the deepest respect and admiration for the decision that you're making. We offer our love and support to you in this process. Every family has its own timing, and we feel that this is our time to share our love with a beautiful child. We welcome open adoption, and understand we'll be connected with an extended family, ensuring happiness throughout our child's life. We have so much love to share with the child chosen for us. We have amazing family and friends, all of whom are waiting to meet the new member of the family. | Hello
We will love unconditionally. We will listen, support, teach, comfort in times of need, lead by example, and dedicate ourselves to providing everything our child needs to achieve his or her dreams and goals. Our home will be a safe and creative environment for them to blossom into their true spirit. Our families and friends will be there always for care and support. And our love and commitment for providing our child with a happy and healthy upbringing will never waver. | The kind of parents we'll be
Love at first site. And second site. And so on. | We met, while dancing, in New York City in the winter of 2002. We got off to a great start, with our first date on Valentine's day. And things have been amazing ever since. In 2006, we moved from New York to Miami, where we spent 3 years. And in 2009, we moved to Boulder, Colorado where we continue to celebrate Valentine's Day and every other day of the year together.
Family | We're both very close with and appreciative of our families. We'll pass on the values, beliefs, and traditions that our parents passed on to us. | Carol Ann and her mom, Betty Ann | Scott, with his granny, Irene, mother, Myra, and father, Randy | Carol Ann with her mom, brother, Joe, and his wife, Jordan | Carol Ann with nephews, Luke and Jack | Granny Irene and Betty Ann. 10: About Carolann, from Scott | Carol Ann is smart, extremely creative caring, funny and optimistic. And a long list of other very positive qualities. Which is why I fell in love with her the moment we met. She's wonderful with kids and I know she'll be an incredible mother. I can't wait to start a family with her. She has tremendous passion for all things creative and I'm very inspired by her ability to make beautiful works of art and fashion. She is also a great cook always experimenting with new healthy recipes. I feel lucky every day that we found each other and look forward to a future of love and happiness.
About Scott, from Carolann | Scott has the highest caliber of any one I know. He approaches everything in life with integrity and generosity and humility. He is the rock on which I stand. Family is very important to Scott and he won my heart early on with all his efforts to get to know my family before we got married. He is an amazing leader. He was voted as one of the top 10 technologists in the country, but he would never mention it as he is also the most modest person I know. He enjoys his work and this is probably why he is so successful.
Our home and community | We live in North Boulder, in a neighborhood called Wonderland Hill. We're within walking distance of the foothills, Wonderland HIll Lake, and several parks and playgrounds. We're in a community with great schools and resources for raising a family. | Our home | The backyard

Scott's Education and Work | Scott graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Economics. He's spent the last 17 years as an Internet software developer working in the advertising industry for clients such as Nike, Volkswagen and Microsoft. In April of 2012, Scott and two business partners formed a new marketing agency, Made Movement, focused on supporting a resurgence in American manufacturing. | Made Movement's office in Boulder, CO | Scott and his business partners, Dave and John, were featured in the New York Times
Carol Ann's Education and Work | Carol Ann studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, graduating with a degree in Sculpture and Painting. She taught high school art for 8 years. In 1999, Carol Ann shifted her efforts to fashion design, first focusing on hats, and then moving into a full line of women's wear. Her designs have been featured in Barney's, boutique fashion stores in the U.S and Europe and in several fashion magazines. | Carolann working on her latest coat design | A few of Carolann's paintings | Carolann featured for a recent fashion and art show
We're both very active and enjoy sports and outdoor activities. We take advantage of all that Colorado has to offer and spend a lot of time hiking, cross-country skiing, running and biking. We also both enjoy music and playing guitar and try to see live shows whenever we can. | Our Interests | Scott grew up playing sports, including baseball, basketball, tennis, and golf. | Carol Ann and her brother, Joe, skiing at Breckenridge
Playing guitar and singing | Scott's dad is a terrific athlete and is still very active | With close access to the foot hills, we're able to hike often | Indy enjoys swimming and playing fetch
We went through a period a few years ago where Carol Ann had a couple of miscarriages. We learned that this was likely being caused by a fibroid condition. Carol Ann had surgery to have the fibroids removed, and we haven't had success in pregnancy since then. We looked at IVF as on option, but when we thought about adoption and the opportunity to help out a mother and child in need, we fell in love with the idea and committed to the adoption process. We have a close, loving relationship and are very excited about starting a family. We both come from caring families, are thankful for our upbringings, and will be nurturing and caring parents for the child that comes into our lives. | Why we want to adopt
Our family mission statement | We are a loving, supportive family. We will always offer guidance and understanding for one another to realize our dreams and goals as individuals, and as a family. We will cultivate a positive perspective towards life and work through any obstacles together. We value honesty, integrity, creativity, and education. We love our family and friends and are deeply appreciative of the happiness they bring into our lives.
