BC: We love you, Dad
FC: In Loving Memory of William T.Kitts 1957-2012
1: Terry Kitts was the embodiment of the ideal father. I did not realize this until I was old enough to appreciate the realities of the larger world.
2: Terry Kitts was the embodiment of the ideal father. I did not realize that until I was old enough to appreciate the realities of the larger world. He was a patient teacher willing to involve me. Whether he was working in the garage or around the house. Even at the age when I was more likely to knock over a tray of parts than be of any real help. I was amazed by his abilities and wanted to be able to do everything he did. As I got older we joined the Boy Scouts together. He was there with me for every Monday meeting, backpacking trip, and summer camp. It was through his commitment to me that I am of the minority to hold the rank of Eagle Scout. My dad was a selfless person. For as long as I can remember I have joined my dad on any given Saturday, as we went to help friends ,family ,and neighbors put up a ceiling fan, cut down a tree, or clean out a carburetor. For all of his good qualities, he was also my partner in crime.
3: On any occasion that he would find a four wheeler or motorcycle for me, that mom would not necessarily approve of instead of asking first he would say, “Sometimes its better to ask forgiveness.” He was a power sports enthusiast and involved me from an early age. Each year we looked forward to our annual motorcycle trip, winding our way through the back roads of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas and Missouri. It was on these vacations for a few days each year I found myself impressed to see my dad, who otherwise worked ceaselessly be able to return to his twenties as he enjoyed the company of his childhood friends. For my entire life my dad was my constant companion, and best friend. When I was a child my ambition was to grow up to be like him. Now as an adult I still have yet to achieve that goal. I don't want my Dad’s eulogy to be only a paper summary of his excellent qualities and good deeds. I want to demonstrate it through living by the example that he has set for what makes a good man. I love you dad.
