4: A little about Sue's family history! Our family were hat makers! They lived in the Parrish of Mancetter, which was on a old Roman road linking London with the north. Samuel Windridge was born 1816-1896 in Atherstone, Warwickshire, England. He enlisted in the navy after his parents passed away & came to Australia on H.M.S Susan, with 400 convicts on board.His duty was at various convict stations throughout N.S.W. He married on 15/4/1842 to Mary Watson, from the Parrish of Coylton near Maybole, Ayrshire, Scotland. When Samuel retired from the navy he worked as an assistant to the mounted Police. He was despatched to mark out the first track from Melboourne to Port Albert, in Gippsland. He discovered Lake Tyers & named it after Commisssioner Tyers. When he retired in 1854 he moved to 158 acres at Kyneton. | Sue at St Peter's Church in Mancetter In Atherstone.
5: closer to our family: Lou, (Sue's grandmother), before she married, worked with her sister Kitty, Lou played the violin & Kitty sang. Lou married Tom Laurie a policeman. Sue's parents: Brian came from Liverpool N.S.W. Joined the army and got sent to Balcombe,Mt Martha, Victoria, training base. He met Jean & wanted to get to know her better so joined the learn to dance group she had joined. They married in 1956, moved to Taipang Malaysia where, Sue was born. Brian played Rugby for the Victorian State Squad just before he was sent overseas. Brian did many tours of duty during his time in the army, he was sent to Vietnam, Borneo, New Guinea, just to name a couple. Jean did many jobs from working at Coles, then at an Invisible mending factory, minding children at her home, then into aged care, home help & working for her daughter Leonie, in a Toy shop. Sue worked as a sewing machinist for Hickory fashions, this is where she met Brett in 1977, who was the sewing machine mechanic, also in the Toy shop & video shop later got a diploma in child care. Brett & Sue started going out together1978 we moved in together in 1979. Sue became pregnant with Kylie & they got married on 10May 1980. Brett changed jobs & got an apprenticeship as a fitter & turner for Bluescoop steel & worked his way through he also liked doing study at school, & loved photography.

12: This is the marriage certificate of Rginald William Blaber & Alice Beatrice Costa on the 9th February 1924. Brett's Grandparents | This is the passenger ticket for Reginald William Blaber. He was born on the 1/8/1903 in Seven kings, Essex England. he was a clerk. He emigrated on the 27th November 1924 to Australia. he sailed on the "Bendigo" from London, he was accompanied by his wife Alice. Between 1931 & 1936 he was a labourer. He died on 13/5/1967 in Bair Victoria. He had an older sister & a brother who was born in Canada.. Alice was a dressmaker she died in 1968
