S: Henry Wiebe - Celebrating a Very Special Birthday

BC: We Love You Dad. Happy Birthday.

FC: In Celebration of 80 Years! | Henry Wiebe's World in Pictures

"How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world." "The Lord says, 'I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.'" Psalm 31:19 and 32:8 | This book is presented to our dad, Henry, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, with love from the kids and grandkids.

 Henry the Teacher...

 Henry the Conductor...

 Farmer... | Fisherman...

Traveler and Missionary together with Marge.

Henry & Marge, 55 Years and Counting

They travel the world, going strong...

 Sometimes formal... | Sometimes casual...

 ...but always in style!

BEER BOTTLE BILL His coat, his cap, his gunny sacks Are all our spuinting wanderer packs. Each day he seeks a small reward That he may soon a meal afford. How can elite society, Which boasts about sobriety Disdain Bill's occupation And mock his lowly station? Each year a little hope he seeks When gathering bottles, butts for weeks. When careless youth their empties chuck May next day yield poor Bill some luck. At midday Bill sits down to rest, Considers of his yield the best. He bites the butts and drinks the drops Of wine or whiskey, and then he stops. To bottle depots he will thumb. But who would pick up such a bum Whose odour soon declares his trade, Whose looks one rather would evade? One wonders, when on reckoning day The good the Judge will rightly say: "Beer Bottle Bill who always gathered Deserves above all those who scattered." Henry Wiebe

Henry's Legacy is a Great Bunch of Kids

...and walk on water! | In fact, he's so good, his grandkids can fly through the air...

 Grandpa & His Grandkids & Great-grandkids.

Can you teach an old dog new tricks?

They've learned to enjoy life-enriching activities from Grandpa...

And they must get their good looks from Grandpa too!

SPIDER From which incredible source Your physics schemes? From whom your arithmetic and design To weave a web so fine? Those shiny, silky strands Swing aloft as though on invisible wings; Ooze out endlessly in pure, thin strings From small resource, but limitless, it seems. To trap an unwary flying creature Is but a secondary feature Of your inimitable skill and poise; And all this industry without a noise? Let no man deem your craft inferior Only your Maker Himself is superior In creative fashion and purpose. Henry Wiebe

Trucks and tractors are always a part of Henry's world.

And a little fun on the last couple pages!

It Is a Good Thing to Thank the Lord Henry Wiebe It is a good thing to thank the Lord, A very good thing, yes a very good thing, And to sing praise unto His name, Sing praise unto His name. It is a good thing to thank our God, And to sing praises unto our God, Lord, Most High. It is a good thing to thank the Lord, A very good thing, yes, a very good thing. Then let us now thank and praise and sing; His Word teaches us it's a very good thing. Let us give thanks and praise His Name, For this is a very good thing A very good thing, hallelujah, To thank is a very good thing Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
