Down in the Valley Down in the valley, valley so low Hang your head over, hear the wind blow Hear the wind blow, dear, hear the wind blow Hang your head over, hear the wind blow. Roses love sunshine, violets love dew Angels in heaven, know I love you Know I love you, dear, know I love you Angels in heaven, know I love you. | You Are My Sunshine You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, You make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away. The other night dear as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held you in my arms. When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken So I hung my head and I cried. I'll always love you and make you happy If you will only say the same. But if you leave me and love another You'll regret it all some day. You told me once dear, you really loved me No one else could come between But now you've left me to love another You have shattered all of my dreams. | Patrick | Virginia

There's A Bluebird On Your Windowsill There's a bluebird on your windowsill There's a rainbow in your sky There are happy thoughts your heart to fill It's enough to make you cry With every tear you've washed away All things kept locked inside You count your joy this lovely day And you wonder why you cried And if by chance your heart grows sad You still can smile again With every tear you've ever shed Comes sunshine after rain The rainy days may come and go The clouds soon roll away Everything will come if you wish it so As an answer when you pray | Virginia | Tanner | Lucas | Patrick

Morningtown Ride Train whistle blowing makes a sleepy noise, Underneath their blankets go all the girls and boys. Heading from the station, out along the bay, All bound for Morningtown, many miles away. Lucas is at the engine, Patrick rings the bell, Tanner swings the lantern, Virginia says all is well. Rocking, rolling, riding, out along the bay, All bound for Morningtown, many miles away. Maybe it is raining where our train will ride, But all the little travelers are snug and warm inside. Somewhere there is sunshine, somewhere there is day, Somewhere there is Morningtown, many miles away. | * I would have to alternate your names because Patrick would ask that he be at the engine!

Buckeye Jim Way up yonder above the sky A bluebird lived in a jaybird's eye Buckeye Jim, you can't go Go weave and spin You can't go, Buckeye Jim Way up yonder above the moon A blue jay nests in a silver spoon Buckeye Jim, you can't go Go weave and spin You can't go, Buckeye Jim Way down yonder in a wooden trough An old woman puked with the whooping cough Buckeye Jim, you can't go Go weave and spin You can't go, Buckeye Jim Way down yonder in a hollow log A redbird danced with a green bullfrog Buckeye Jim, you can't go Go weave and spin You can't go, Buckeye Jim | Patrick | Tanner

Go Tell Aunt Rhody Go tell Aunt Rhody, go tell Aunt Rhody Go tell Aunt Rhody the old gray goose is dead! The one she'd been saving, the one she'd been saving The one she'd been saving to stuff a feather bed! She only had one feather, she only had one feather She only had one feather sticking in her head! She died in the mill pond, she died in the mill pond She died in the mill pond standing on her head! The old gander's weeping, the old gander's weeping The old gander's weeping because his lady's dead! She left nine goslings, she left nine goslings She left nine goslings to scratch for their own bread! We must have a funeral, we must have a funeral We must have a funeral the old gray goose is dead! Go tell Aunt Rhody, go tell Aunt Rhody Go tell Aunt Rhody the old gray goose is dead! | *Virginia would request this song as "the one that makes me cry"! | Lucas | Virginia

Red Wing There was once an Indian maid; a shy little prairie maid She sang all day the love song gay On the plains she'd wile away the day She loved her warrior bold, this shy little maid of old But brave and gay he rode one day to battles far away! Now the moon shines tonight on pretty Red Wing The breezes sighing and the night birds crying Far oh far beneath the sky her brave lies sleeping While Red Wing's weeping the night away! She watched for him day and night, she kept the campfire bright Under the stars each night she would lie And dream that he'd be a coming by and by And when all the braves returned; the heart of Red Wing yearned Far, far away her warrior gay fell bravely in the fray! Now the moon shines tonight on pretty Red Wing The breezes sighing and the night birds crying Far oh far beneath the sky her brave lies sleeping While Red Wing's weeping her heart away! | Tanner | Lucas | Patrick | Virginia | Tanner

Down By The Station Down by the station Early in the morning See the little puffer bellies All in a row See the station master Turn a little handle Chug, chug, toot, toot Off they go! | This Old Man This old man, he played one He played knick-knack on my thumb With a knick-knack paddy whack Give a dog a bone This old man came rolling home. ......two......shoe ......three......knee ......four......door ......five......hide ......six......some sticks ......seven......all the way to heaven ......eight.....gate ......nine......spine ......ten......hen | Lucas | Patrick | Virginia | Tanner | Virginia | Lucas | Lucas | Virginia | Patrick | Tanner

The Blue Tail Fly When I was young I used to wait on Massa and pass him his plate And fetch the bottle when he got dry and brush away the blue tail fly. Chorus: Jimmy Crack Corn and I don't care, Jimmy Crack Corn and I don't care Jimmy Crack Corn and I don't care, my master's gone away! When Massa ride in the afternoon I followed him with a hickory broom The horse so easily he did shy when bitten by the blue tail fly. One day he rode around the farm; flies so numerous they did swarm One chanced to bite him on the thigh; the devil take the blue tail fly! The pony run, he buck, he pitch, he tumble Massa in the ditch He died and the jury wondered why the verdict was the blue tail fly! And now that Massa's gone to rest, I guess all things are for the best But I'll never forget till the day I die; the master and the blue tail fly! | Virginia

The Goat and the Train I bought a goat, his name was Jim I bought him for his precious skin. That goat got loose about half past nine And ate a red shirt right off the line. I grabbed that goat by the wool of the back And I tied him to a railroad track. He bucked and bawled with might and main As around the curve came a passenger train. He bucked and bawled with might and main Coughed up that shirt and flagged the train! | Tanner | Lucas | Patrick

Mr. Rabbit Chorus: Every little soul must shine, shine Every little soul must shine, shine. Mr. Rabbit, Mr. Rabbit, your coat's mighty gray Yes, bless God, it's made that way. Mr. Rabbit, Mr. Rabbit, your ears are mighty long Yes, Bless God, they're put on wrong. Mr. Rabbit, Mr. Rabbit, your ears are mighty thin Yes, bless God, they're split in the wind. Mr. Rabbit, Mr. Rabbit, your eyes are mighty red Yes, bless God, it's time for bed.

Hush Little Baby Hush, little baby, don't say a word Daddy's going to buy you a mockingbird. If that mockingbird won't sing Daddy's going to buy you a diamond ring. If that diamond ring turns brass Daddy's going to buy you a looking glass. If that looking glass gets broke Daddy's going to buy you a billy goat. If that billy goat gets lonely Daddy's going to buy you a Shetland pony. If that pony runs away Daddy's going to buy you another someday!

Amazing Grace Amazing grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now am found Was blind, but now I see. "Twas grace that taught my heart to fear And grace, my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come. "Twas grace that brought me safe thus far And grace will lead me home. When we've been there ten thousand years Bright shining as the sun, We've no less ways to sing God's praise Than when we first begun.

Spirit of God Chorus: Blow, blow, blow 'till I be, but the breath of the Spirit blowing in me. Spirit of God in the clear running water Blowing to greatness the trees on the hill Spirit of God in the finger of morning Fill the earth, bring it to birth, and blow where you will. Down in the meadow the willows are moaning Sheep in the pasture land cannot lie still Spirit of God, creation is groaning Fill the earth, bring it to birth, and blow where you will. I saw the scar of a year that lay dieing Heard the lament of the lone whippoorwill Spirit of God, see that cloud crying Fill the earth, bring it to birth, and blow where you will. Spirit of God, every man's heart is lonely Watching and waiting and hungry until Spirit of God, man longs that you only Fulfill the earth, bring it to birth, and blow where you will.

Joy is Like the Rain I saw raindrops on my window, joy is like the rain Laughter runs across my face; slips away and comes again Joy is like the rain. I saw clouds upon a mountain; joy is like the clouds Sometimes silver, sometimes gray; always sun not far away Joy is like the clouds. I saw Christ in wind and thunder; joy is tried by storm Christ asleep within a boat; whipped by wind but still afloat Joy is tried by storm. I saw raindrops on the river; joy is like the rain Bit by bit the river grows and all at once it overflows Joy is like the rain. | Listen to the Water Chorus: Listen to the water, listen to the water, rolling down the river. Listen to the water, listen to the water, rolling down the river. I saw some birds by the waterside (3x) Oh, oh by the waterside. I saw some fish by the waterside (3x) Oh, oh by the waterside. I saw some ducks by the waterside (3x) Oh, oh by the waterside. I saw some flowers by the waterside (3x) Oh, oh by the waterside.

Jesus Loves Me Chorus: Yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me Yes Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so! Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to him belong; they are weak but he is strong. Jesus loves me, he who died; heaven's gate to open wide. He will wash away my sin; let his little child come in. Gentle Jesus, with me stay; close beside me all the way. When at last I come to die; take me home with thee on high. Bed In Summer In winter I get up at night and dress by yellow candlelight. In summer quite the other way, I have to go to bed by day. I have to go to bed and see the birds still hopping on the tree. Or hear the grown up people's feet still going past me in the street. And does it not seem hard to you, when all the sky is clear and blue, And I should like so much to play to have to go to bed by day?

Puff, the Magic Dragon Puff, the magic dragon, lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honalee. Little Jackie Paper, loved that rascal, Puff And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff. Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sails Jackie kept a look out perched on Puff's gigantic tail. Noble kings and princes would bow whenever they came And pirate ships would lower their flags when Puff roared out his name. A dragon lives forever but not so little boys Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys. Puff bowed his head in sorrow, green scales fell like rain Puff no longer went to play along the Cherry Lane. Without his lifelong friend Puff could not be brave So Puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave. Puff, the magic dragon, lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honalee. Bumping Up and Down Bumping up and down in my little red wagon (3x), won't you be my darling. One wheel's off and the axle's broken (3x),won't you be my darling. Lucas will fix it with his hammer (3x), won't you be my darling. The handle's broken and the paint is peeling (3x), won't you be my darling. Patrick will fix it with his pliers (3x), won't you be my darling. Bumping up and down in my little red wagon (3x), won't you be my darling. One wheel's off and the axle's broken (3x), won't you be my darling. Tanner will fix it with his screwdriver (3x), won't you be my darling. The handle's broken and the paint is peeling (3x), won't you be my darling. Virginia will paint it with her paintbrush (3x), won't you be my darling. *I often had to sing this several times so each of you used every tool!

Baby Beluga Baby beluga in the deep blue sea, Swim so wild and you swim so free. Heaven above and the sea below, And a little white whale on the go. Baby beluga, oh baby beluga, Is the water warm, is your mama home With you so happy? Way down yonder where the dolphins play, Where you dive and splash all day, Waves roll in and the waves roll out, See the water squirting out of your spout. Baby beluga, oh baby beluga, Sing your little song, sing for all your friends, We like to hear you. When it's dark and you're home and fed, Curl up snug in your water bed. The moon is shining and the stars are out, Good night, little whale, good night. Baby beluga, oh baby beluga With tomorrow's sun, another day's begun You'll soon be waking. Baby beluga in the deep blue sea, Swim so wild and you swim so free, Heaven above and the sea below And a little white whale on the go- You're just a little white whale on the go!

Mull of Kintyre Chorus: Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea My desire is always to be here, oh Mull of Kintyre Far have I traveled and much have I seen Dark distant mountains with valleys of green Past painted deserts the sunsets on fire As he carries me home to the Mull of Kintyre Sweep through the heather like deer in the glen Carry me back to the days I knew then Nights when we sang like a heavenly choir Of the life and the times of Mull of Kintyre Smiles in the sunshine and tears in the rain Still take me back to where my memories remain Flickering embers grow higher and higher As they carry me back to the Mull of Kintyre | Tanner | Virginia | Patrick | Patrick | Lucas | Lucas | Tanner | Virginia
