 John and Dianne
We know that you are in the process of making one of the most important decisions of your life. We appreciate having the opportunity to share some information about us and hope you will consider allowing us to love and care for your very special child. | Please let us introduce ourselves. We're John and Dianne. We got married on a wonderful day in May 2004, so if my math is right, that means we've been married for about six and a half years. When we got married, we knew that one day we would want to adopt a child into our lives and create a family. | We don't have any children which is why we are writing to you. we have so much to offer and we would be thrilled to provide a loving and nurturing home for your child. | Hello
My husband, John, is 42 years old and is a computer programmer at the local state university. His friends call him "the Rock" although it has nothing to do with that wrestler guy. It's because he is a solid, dependable, loyal person who would do anything to help his friends and family. | He enjoys playing games of all kinds, and cuddling with his 3 cats. (He was strictly a dog person when he was younger, and in fact is allergic to cats. But when he met me I already had 2 cats so he started taking allergy shots! I knew he was the guy for me.)
Most of John's family live nearby, just a few minutes drive away. His parents have been married for over 50 years and are a welcome presence in our lives. Since they are so close we have lots of opportunities to get together with them and with John's extended family for special events. John's brother, David, also lives in town and is always great at making us laugh or fattening us up with his delicious baked goodies.
My wife, Dianne, is 45 years old and is employed as a bookkeeper at a local Catholic church (although she is not Catholic herself). She doesn't have a cool nickname like I do, but don't hold that against her. She enjoys traveling, music, and of course cuddling with the kitties. | Dianne's family is spread out all over the country. Her parents have also been married over 50 years and are great role models for us. She has 2 older brothers, one in Portland, Oregon and the other in Houston, Texas. Her oldest brother, Todd, has 4 little boys. Jonah, the youngest, was adopted in August of 2009. We talk with them often and visit when we can. Even though we are spread out, we are still a very close family
We were brought together by a dear friend of ours who often would invite us over to have dinner, watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer and play games. She eventually became Dianne's Matron of Honor and her husband was one of John's groomsmen. | We live in a nice one-story house in a young neighborhood where the trees are just getting taller than the people. The state university is here which provides lots of cultural and entertainment opportunities. It seems like there is always a festival, concert or athletic event to go to. A great weekend for us is spending time with close friends, preparing food together and then spending some time on the putt-putt course with their kids and then spending the night watching movies and playing games.
We are looking forward to filling our house with a child's laughter and joy. While we don't know for sure where we will be in 5 or 10 years, or what our life will look like, we do know that we will commit ourselves to loving nurturing and guiding a child through the rest of our lives | Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We hope that it's giving you a brief look into our lives and our personalities. And know that we will love and cherish the child who comes into our family.
John's parents and brother, David, live in town. We are very fortunate to have them near so we can enjoy special events together. We enjoy getting together for holidays, special events or just getting together for dinner now and then. His sister, Cindy, lives in Chicago so we don't get to see her quite as often.
Dianne's family is scattered around the country, but we get together often to laugh and play.
 Loves of our lives
You | Young or old, newly married or married for 50 years, we know we've found the love's of our lives and wouldn't have it any other way
