Helping Grandma arrange her pretty flowers

However, modeling the cupcake frosting and roasted marshmallows were also fun Labor Day activities, as was sitting around the campfire.

Short-sleeved outdoor activity is a unique twist to most Cowan holiday get-togethers, which normally happen at Christmas in sub-zero temps. Of course, the only trees cut in wintertime are Christmas trees, but this holiday, Grandma Jo got help from kids and grandkids to cut out dead branches and help clean up this tree in the front yard. Steve drew the short straw and got to be the man in the tree with the chainsaw. Really, we think he was the only one who had good insurance and healthy enough joints to climb the tree.

 S'More, please
A campfire on the back concrete parking pad with S'mores, just plain ol' marshmallows, or let's face it--going strait for the chocolate Hershey bar-- made for a perfect ending to the days spent together. All except for Natalie, who didn't want the day to end here, with Grandma and mommy coaxing her--unsuccessfully--to bedtime.
Human | Twirly- | gig | Natalie is having some fun after the photo session ended, thanks to Grandma & Aunt Linda!
