5: E is forEVER | How happy we are When we show love for each other... Much better by far than fussing and fighting and crying and such, I'm so glad they're my family... I love them so much!!!
6: F | are the figs, dangling sticky and sweet; Just reach up and pluck one...mmm, so good to eat!
7: is for grandmothers, TWO, if you please...gabbing and chatting and shooting the breeze. | G | G
8: H is for Honeybee | Sucking away In Grandma's backyard, Making honey today
9: I am LUCY !! | As you can plainly see, I float and I swim and I'm free to be me.
10: J IS FOR Jack, | My brother, my friend; My watcher, my playmate, Pals to the end. | of course,
11: K is the Kayak | On water so blue; Sarah and Lucy Are moving on through The sparkles and shine on the lake, Cutting the clarity, leaving their wake.
13: For the LEAVES | Look! Lucy is peeking, Watching you seeking; Can you find her at all? | When the leaves fall, (they fall in the Fall) The tree will be bare; Then you'll see her there.
14: M IS for MOM | What more can I say? She feeds me and hugs me And takes me away To play-group and park, To dancing and school, To shopping and movies, To swim in the pool. And when the day's over, She puts me to bed, And tells me she loves me, And kisses my head.
15: N IS FOR NEW | What a great word! New baby, New friend, New life, so I've heard, For Mommy and Daddy, And Sister and Bro; I'm the new in their new life, Changing the flow.
16: O on the counter | Lucy's mad for the chocolate.. Look at her go!!! She stirs and she licks, She's turning all brown... But smiling through all, She's a chocolaty clown.
17: P is for Pumpkins | Heavy and gold. Look at that Lucy, So strong and so bold: Two on the wagon, headed back to the car, This isn't easy To haul them so far.
18: Q is for Quiet | Like when we are home, And people are sleeping, and lying out prone. We try not to wake them, or get them upset, So when WE want some quiet, that's what we'll get. (Turn about is fair play!!)
19: R, a Reunion, | Lots of cousins That's who I see, Laughing, playing, biking, swimming-- Running wild and free. | my family and me
20: S for the Sister | Who leads the way, And shows me how To be better each day. Kindness and courtesy: Part of her act; I'll do as she does, And that is a fact!!
21: T is my Teacher | Kara's my teacher; She's smart and she's cool, And that's why I like Going to school. I read and I write, and I turn somersaults, Upside down, over, Head after feet vaults The things that I'm learning, Oh, the things I shall know, Will make my brain bigger, Will cause me to grow. And soon I'll be grown (and they'll all call me Miss) Into a young lady quite a bit like my Sis,
22: U are down Under | the pail on your head, O Lucy, Dear Lucy Where have you fled?
23: V is for Very | Very nice, Very kind, In Lucy these things are easy to find; Very sweet,Very smart, Very talented, too; Very good, very charming girl with "can-do".
24: W IS WALKING | Across the green sward, Finding the river To swim in the ford. Hand held in hand, We mosey along, Looking at beauty, Singing our song. The sun shining warm, The birds singing sweet, All the cousins are here, Walking is neat!!
25: X is for X-ray | You know X-rays can go right past your skin, Down through your flesh to the bones deep within. If you wanted to know just how it is done, Picture pieces of light, straight from the sun. Shoot them at something, and catch what gets past In a picture, on a film, on a plate made to last. And there you have Lucy, way down inside, All because x-rays are made to collide. | Here are Lucy's two hands, spread out on the square. Count fingers, count bones! Count all if you dare.
26: Y is for Yesteryear | Wasn't I cute? Of course I still am... (I think it's the suit) The glasses add class, I'm sure you'll agree, Mommy looks happy, with me on her knee.
27: Zis iz ZEE end | Of zis book, you can zee Time haz moved on And now I am three. My past iz behind me, My future'z ahead, The last page iz here, Thiz book haz been read. | Good night!!
