FC: Making Banana Bread By Ronan Dhatt

Making Banana Bread by Ronan Dhatt

I made banana bread! Let me tell you how. First, I put on my apron and washed my hands.

I broke three bananas apart and put them in the bowl.

Then I mashed them with a whisk.

I cracked one egg and put it in.

 Next, I added some oil,

 and some sugar.

I mixed it all up. These are the "wet ingredients".

Then I added the "dry ingredients". Flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Time to mix, mix, mix! It was hard to mix with the whisk, so I switched to a spoon.

 I added some walnuts, then...

 ...mixed some more!

The bowl was heavy, so Mommy scraped the batter into the loaf pans. (I took this picture!)

 (I took this picture, too.)

In the loaf pans, ready to bake!

Mommy let me lick the spoon.

It is in the oven! The banana bread has to bake for 20 minutes.

I peeked at it while it was baking.

The timer went off, and Mommy checked it with a toothpick. (It needed 5 more minutes.)

Soon my banana bread was cool.

I sliced it very carefully with a serrated knife.

I tried a bite... (Nora did too...)

 ...it tasted great!
