The setting of my life: I was born in Virginia. Before I was one, we moved to my grandparents house in New York until we found a smaller home to buy. It was a farm house. But that’s where we lived for a while. We then moved to a large house in New York where I lived until I was three. Then we moved to a house in Camp Hill where we lasted for two years. After that, we found a house a couple blocks away and we have been living there since I was five. For as long as I can remember, I have loved every single place that we lived. Even though it may sound over whelming, my childhood had much more than selling, buying, and moving.

Symbolism in my life: When I was about ten years old, my parents felt a calling to do foster care. Through this, we fostered many children, including one named Anthony. I quickly attached to the baby. Since his mother was not around we had to feed him formula. After a while, the odd smell seemed no more than a reminder of Anthony. So, now, every time I smell this, I become reminded of my Anthony and sadness returns to my heart.

Irony in my life: In my life, there is a great amount of irony. Up until I was in 1st grade, I was homeschooled. During this period, I studied all the normal subjects including history. In first grade, I learned about the Renaissance Period. In second grade, I was sent to cyber school where I also studied the Renaissance Period. After a year of that, We found a private school and in fourth grade, the theme to the history/social studies class was the Renaissance time. When I started 7th grade, I was going to another cyber school and we had about a month to learn the Renaissance. This made me laugh a little as if I was meant to learn about this. In conclusion, I still don’t remember very much about this period time.

Round/dynamic characters in my life: A flat character in my life would have to be my grandfather. When we moved to Pennsylvania a second time, I was three and I lived quite near my grandparents' house. During this time, I would, and still do, visit my grandparents almost every other day. They played a crucial role in my childhood, and they seemed to enjoy it just as much. I call my grandma Mimi and my grandfather Popart. Our family likes to call him that because his name is Arthur and "pop-" is a traditional prefix for grandfather nicknames. Mimi and Popart have always been there for me, no matter what I am going through and for the ten years that I have lived near them, I have always been able to trust them with everything. Since they are rather old, their characters are rather mature and are matured past the point of changing. That is one more reason why I know that they are wise. I respect the fact that they became people they are proud of now even if they have some regrets. But who doesn't. By the end of my adolescents, I think that I will have modeled a large majority of my values from them.

External Conflict in my life: In my life there has been many conflicts but one that I think of when I think of Christmas I think of family, happy times, my cousins' house and, of course, presents! At my cousins' house, a gigantic tree sits in their living room sparkling with ornaments and planted in a sea of presents. Its always exciting thinking about the time in December we get to share together and make new memories. A conflict that my parents probably saw coming was who would get to open the first present. So they came up with a solution. A pickle is to be hidden among the other ornaments hanging on the tree and on Christmas morning, all the kids search frantically for this pickle. The first to find it get to open the first present. Although this method may have been a good idea, my cousin's birthday is on Christmas so he ends up getting the first present anyway and no one minds letting him. Christmas time has never been a time of sadness except the time when its over and it feels like you just settled into break and school walks up and shakes you awake. I never seem to know how much I love break until my alarm goes off.

Resolution in my life: In my life, there has been quite a lot of conflict and resolution. But one that sticks out in my mind is one handled by my aunt. She my dad's sister who married a European man and lives in Europe. She has about three or four houses in her country but loves visiting the United States with her twins that are about my age. They are some of my best friends in the world and I am always wishing to see them. When they did come over here, my family would have to drive a six and a half hour drive to New York state. There, we all stay at my grandparents house. But it seemed to be too expensive to fly over here all the time so Aunt Katey and my uncle bought a house here in the U. S. This is very convenient because their house is just a few minutes away from my grandparents house. Granny and Papa, my grandparents, are also very excited about this, but for now they are still living in Norway because they are going to finish up the school year there. Then they are planning on moving here for a couple years. If they do this, I will be very happy and excited. I think this has been one of the most brilliant resolutions in my life.
