BC: The End

FC: The Adventures of Rod & Kristi

We met at a college movie night. Rod was the Vice President of the Student Senate. One of our mutual friends called Kristi to hang out, and she did. We were attracted to each other right from the beginning. Rod said he wasn't looking for a girlfriend, but I changed his mind!

I was attracted to Rod's light- hearted personality and his blue eyes. Rod was attracted to Kristi's helpfulness and sweet personality. We dated for about 9 months. While dating we enjoyed hanging out with friends, going to bon fires, and watching movies.

On June 7, 2004 Rod proposed to Kristi. She said yes! We were married 1 year later. | "A life without love is no life at all."

Rod asked Kristi's dad for her hand in marriage. Dad's only request was to make sure we finished college first. We graduated from college and were married a month later.

Our niece, Emma, was ready and willing to help open presents. | Father helped make our wedding a blessed occasion.

About Kristi: Kristi is a loving, caring and hard working person. She enjoys being outside working in her flower beds and walking our dog, Jill. She enjoys spending time with our nieces and nephews. She has fun playing games with the kids. Kristi enjoys when our nieces who live close by come and stay overnight. She is happy to be a temporary mom.

About Rod: Rod is a very outgoing type of person. He loves to joke around and can always make me smile. I know Rod will be an awesome dad some day by watching him with our nieces and nephews. He loves playing with the kids. He enjoys watching football and Nascar. He will always be Green Bay Packers fan.

Our Reasons to Adopt | We have always planned to have a family because of our love for children. After fertility treatments, we found out we could not conceive. We have experienced adoption within our family. We are very blessed to have two adopted nephews.

What can we offer a child? We can offer a child a stable home with lots of love and attention. We will support our child throughout their life by letting them join any activities that best interest them. According to our niece Emma as told to her mom Michelle, "Any kid would be very lucky to have Uncle Rod and Aunt Kristi as parents."

We have one dog named Jill. We adopted her from the Humane Society in April of 2007. When our niece Heidi was a couple months old she came to stay over the weekend with us. When Heidi cried, Jill brought her favorite toy over to her to make her happy. Jill is really well behaved around our nieces and nephews.

This is Rod's family. We love spending time with them at Christmas. We also enjoy going to the lake with them.

This is Kristi's family. They live about an hour away. We tend to see them the most between both sides. We enjoy having family picnics and spending the holidays together.

 Our Home

We have two childrens rooms ready to go. Depending upon the child we are blessed with, we can't wait to finish decorating, and move furniture around to accomodate our new little one.

Above our niece Emma and Aunt Kristi are playing at the park that is two blocks away from our home.

We are blessed to be godparent's to our niece, Heidi. Rod is a godfather to his niece, Lydia, as well. We love supporting our family and friends as they raise their children in faith.

We belong to the Catholic Church in the town in which we live. Kristi is involved in the CCW in our church. She recently helped out with our Mission of Love Campaign. The proceeds rasied help the children of Guatemala buy school supplies. | Our Faith

How will a child fit in to our faith? We will share our on-going faith by attending mass on a weekly basis. We will encourage and support our child as they attend religion classes and mass with us as a family. How will a child fit in to our Community? We live in a rural community in the outskirts of town. We know most of our neighbors in our neighborhood. They are very friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand. They are excited for us starting our family through adoption. Our town is very diverse, therefore, our child will have the opportunity to learn about many different cultures.

We love experiencing life's great adventures and would truly be blessed for your child to join our journey. Thank You.
