S: Sisters are Forever
BC: A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost.
FC: Sisters are Forever | And I'm So Glad You're Mine!
1: The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. --Numbers 6:24-27
2: To the outside world we all grow old. But not to our sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time. Clara Ortega
4: It's hard to be responsible, adult and sensible all the time. How good it is to have a sister whose heart is as young as your own. Pam Browm
6: Sisters Run in the Family
8: A lifetime of Memories
12: I Want to Sing Beside My Sister
13: I Want To Sing Beside My Sister If I were asked to sing a solo, my knees would knock in fear. But oh how I love to belt out a song when my sister's standing near. For when she is standing there beside me, it makes me want to shout. It's not that I can sing so great, I'm just trying to drown her out. Sometimes out song has faltered, and we've hit a sour note; Sometimes we find a sister can really get your goat. They know all your secrets, and they really can you wrong; Then I remember how much I lover her,and then our song goes on. When I get old and creaky, and repeat the same old tales, She'll still be young and cheeky and I'll get her to paint my nails. I'm sure she'll come and visit me, sing the songs of glory land. Just prop me up beside my sister and put a hymn book in my hand. They say that when we get to heaven, we will all know how to sing. Even those of us who struggle here some harmony to bring. And I could stand beside my sister there, it sure would bless my heart, For in that great heavenly choir, I'll be able to sing all parts. And If I feel a little crowded, I many say "move over, mister." I'm sure St. Peter's going to understand. I want to sing beside my sister.
17: Sisters are Forever Momma said we had a sister, we didn't exactly cheer We were trying to get use to the one that came last year. You were such a pretty baby, a gift from God divine. Sisters are forever, and I'm so Glad you're mine. We taught you how to brush your teach. We taught you how to walk, and though we have regretted it we taught you how to talk. We sang our songs together, as we stood in stair step line. Sisters are forever, and I'm so glad your mine. | We laughed and cried together. Summer camps were best of all. We stood by one another. When we moved we did not fall. For we took our best friends with us. It was part of God's design. Sisters are forever, and I'm so glad you're mine. You told us of your boyfriend. You said he is the one. We helped you plan your wedding, and now it's almost done. So now you have a husband, who suits us all just fine. But sisters are forever and I thank God your mine.
18: Sisters | You can't think how I depend on you, and when you are not there the colour goes out of my life
22: Sisters function as safety nets in a chaotic world simply by being there for each other.
30: Our girls were coming to see us- I was excited through and through. Somehow I happened to share that fact with everyone I knew. I’d bought some extra bedding. Oh yes, I had big plans, Of feasts and trips and sing songs. Oh it was going to be grand. But plans were changed and they couldn’t come. The news hit hard, and I grew glum. I yelled at the dog, and groused some at their Pappy. It was a practical choice, but still I felt quite crappy. After their weekend they took the time to call, And to say that they had had a ball. They’d sat in a hot tub and got some good deals. So I went on with my life and stopped spinning my wheels. A few days later I saw an ad for a bra, and I sat upright and I said “aha!” For as the model tucked her assets in a pretty double D, Took time to adjust them, then spoke these words to me; “WHEN MY GIRLS ARE HAPPY, I’M HAPPY!” And though I still was lonesome I laid down for a little nappy, And felt quite good, imagine that because my “Bale Girls” were happy. Someday they’ll come ad visit us. Maybe we’ll take them on a cruise. Till then, I’d wait for their phone calls and listen to their happy news. I’d write them a poem for their sister book that wasn’t too silly or sappy. I’d hang up their pictures and learn to say “When my girls are happy, I’m Happy!” Marilyn Unruh
37: And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. --Ezekiel 34:25,26
