BC: the dishes away and says get ready for bed. I do knowing we are leaving tomorrow morning. As I lay in bed I pray and was thankful for having suck a great day in the snow covered mountains. I know that on Monday I have to go back to school, but I know I will be the coolest kid, in having the best weekend trip this winter.
FC: Snow Storm
Once upon a time, hidden very far away in the mountains hid a very mysterious cabin. Cold and darkness seemed to glow from the fost covered windows. Here we go travelling to our home away from home.
As we approach our new home for the weekend, we see the snow that is covering the walkway, roof, and the front door. "Daddy how are we going to get up to the cabin with all this snow?" Thea, we will get there safe. We just have to move some of the snow away from the front door. Our truck is barely making it thorugh the thick snow that is covering the driveway. Daddy stops the truck and gets out to lock the front tires on the truck.
Daddy gets in the truck and is covered with the wet snow. It looks like he is shivering from the cold. As he puts the truck in gear, we start to move inch by inch closer to the cabin. Daddy says, I think that now we are stuck. We are now worried that we will not get to spend the weekend at the cabin. Finally daddys hits the throttle and the truck lunges forward. We are free his says. "I told you Thea, we would make it there, just a few more
feet to go and we are there." Daddy tell's mommy to sit tight. I scream, why dad. He says because we have to go through a big snow drift. Just as dad says that, the snow goes flying all around the truck and completely covers the windshield. Daddy yells, "YES", we are there. I see the front door and it still seems that it is unreachable, but it is not. I open the truck door, and fall out of the truck, and into the snow. Now I am cold and wet. I pick myself
up out of the snow and start to walking in the thick snow. I see dad and mom are at the front door. I see the push the door open and I start to run and get closer to the cabin. Finally we are in and safe for a good weekend in the mountains.
Well it is now dark and we now have a fire burning which helps warm up the tiny cabin. Daddy, what are we going to do tomorrow? Can I play in the snow outside? Thea, we will have to see how cold it is. I am sure we will be able to
play tomorrow. So as the night rolls in, I know that I have to go to bed soon. Mom comes to me and says to brush my teeth, and get ready for bed. I say, but mom, and she says, you can stay up a little longer. Finally, it is time to lay down and pray for tomorrow sunshine. It seems that the night has gone by so fast and I get out of bed to see the worst sight of all. The sight of it snowing outside is not what I prayed
for. I know that I will not be able to go out with this snow like this. I hear, mom walking down the creaking stairs. She says Thea, look at it out there. I start to cry and wonder if I will get a chance to play in the white fluffy snow blanket which
is lying out on the ground. Here it is mid morning and the snow is finally tapering off, and daddy says, Thea, are you ready to go outside. I was so happy, I ran to the closet and got my jacket, gloves, and boots on. As I pull the door open, I get a quick suprise. The snow was pilled up by the door, so when I opened it, some of it came in and I start to laugh. I was so happy, because I just wanted to touch that snow ever since we arrived last night.
The sight is amazing from the front door. All you see is the mountains, blue sky, and snow covering everything. Here I am without a care, and just want to play. We never get to play in this much snow.
I spent the rest of the day helping day through the snow from the walkway. Dad cleared a patch of snow for me to lay in and I made a snow angel. I was so happy. Dad says to me "Why don't you make a snowman"? That was the best idea I thought. I start to roll the balls, but some of them got a little to big for me to move. I make three big snow balls and was ready for dad to place them on top of one another. As dad was placing the snow balls, I ran
inside to ask mom for some carrots, and something for the eyes. Mom said she would get them. Well mom came walking to the front door with extra gloves, a scarf, carrot, and two black socks for the eyes. She said that all that I had to get was two sticks for the arms. I gathered the two sticks and started to assemble the snowman. I could not reach the top of the snowman so dad placed the items on the head. After it was finished, we stepped back and
looked at our snowman. It was the best that we have ever seen. It was night fall and I know that our trip was almost over since we are leaving tomorrow. Dad and I go in and have dinner. Mom puts the
