BC: When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses... -Joyce Brothers
FC: Summer 2012
Today's little moments become tomorrow's precious memories...
GVHS Class of '97 15 year reunion! We had a pretty small turnout, but it was great to see those who were able to make it! Classmates who came (many with spouses) were from l-r, John Limb, Aaron Pickett, Paul Mogle, Christy Anderson, Leighton Jensen, Heidi (Neill) McDermott, Brent Sanderson, Brad Sanderson, Joe Mellor, Heidi (Brown) Boyer, Rustin Taylor, Rustin Pickett, Richard Gates, Richard Peterson, Thamina Christensen, and Jenny (Redd) Kauer.
While Mom and Dad were at the High School reunion, the rest of the family headed out to dinner at Palisades.
One of the kids favorite things to do with Grandpa is make root beer!
Grandma makes REAL WAFFLES! Not even from the freezer! (And homemade whipped cream to go with them!)
 Just a little garden envy...
 Jonas is a maniac!
Sunday Dinner at Grandma Iris's house.
A little night baseball. This is pretty much their first time ever holding a bat... not that you could tell...
Movie Night! "Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets" We love the theater seating, surround sound, and big screen tv in Grandpa and Grandma's basement!
Looks like we're going to need to get an ipad soon... Everyone has become obsessed with them!
What would a visit to Utah be without 4-wheelers?
July 3rd After the dinner at the park, Jim, Tallie, Holly, and Heidi went to the Restless Heart concert and fireworks, while everyone else just rode the 4-wheelers to find a great spot to enjoy the fireworks.
We broke up our drive to California with a sleepover at Kim and John's house in St. George.
Pretty sure our kids left Geoff and Jessie's with their minds set on getting a pet. Probably not a dog... the boys weren't too sure about Bella and Jasmine, but they all adored the hamster!
The evening we arrived in California, Geoff had arranged a surprise BBQ at the beach for Jessie's birthday!
Legoland with Geoff, Jessie, Hallie, Camden, and Wyatt was a big hit! We missed Grandpa and Grandma on the first day, because of the bout of food poisoning Grandpa picked up at Denny's during our drive to California... but at least they got to join us for the second day! John, Kim, Jonas, and Aleah also joined us for day two.
Hmm... What should we do next?
Brian spent a good long time with Grandma, just building robots! He would have been happy just doing that all day! | And of course, anything that involves guns and water is fun too...
Brian took his driving pretty seriously! He didn't want it to be a race, but once it got started, he made sure nobody got past him! | There were a lot of fun shows going on all day.
We saw a show that took us back in time where we got to meet Cleopatra... Connor, Brooke, Brian, Jonas, and Camden even got to be part of the show! Connor and Camden were snake charmers, and the other three were hieroglyphics experts. The show was really cute!
 "You put the wet stuff...
 on the hot stuff!"
 Legoland Sealife Aquarium
Grandpa, Jim, Connor, John, and Jonas went deep sea fishing for a few hours. It didn't turn out to be a big catching day, but at least they didn't get skunked!
Sunday afternoon some of the guys went deep sea fishing, so a few of us took a quick visit to the beach at La Jolla before meeting up with the whole group at Carlsbad Beach.
At Carlsbad Beach, we had a pizza picnic, then spent most of the evening digging, swimming, building, and catching sand crabs.
DISNEYLAND!! We spent a full day at California Adventure, then the next day at Disneyland.
Grandpa sure loves ice cream... and that worked out well for the rest of us!
"I AM big enough!" -Wyatt James Neill
Brian and Camden got along so well. Though waiting in those long lines took it's toll on them. They were wrestling around in line, and I made them stop and smile for a picture. I promised them if they would then we could take a fighting picture after. So this is what we got.
On the way down into the submarine for the Nemo ride!
All those long days and super late nights will eventually catch up with you! It was 11:30 PM and he was spent! Although he did find it in himself to go on one more ride before the park closed at midnight... Our final ride was the Star Wars one, and we're glad we didn't miss that one! It was definitely a crowd favorite!
Daddy and Uncle Jim spoiled Brian and Gaven with an afternoon at the nickel arcades!
It's been too long since the Copier ladies have gotten together, so we planned a girl's night out! First we met at the Hale Center Theater to see "The Sound of Music", which was great, then we wrapped up the evening with dinner at Red Robin. It was really good to see everyone! Marsha, Jane, Camrie, and JoAnna and her daughter Bree weren't able to join us for dinner so they didn't make it into the pictures, but oh well... And unfortunately Wanda had to cancel at the last minute. She ended up sending Nate in her place. Although it was good to see him, we certainly wish she would have felt up to joining us!
While the ladies had their girl's night out, the boys had some 'man' time at Cabela's... | Notice Brian is doing his best impression of the lion attack in the background.
The neighbor's dog, Misty, sure adores Grandpa! She just hangs out on his front porch all day, waiting for him to get home from work! | Rosie was a lot more patient with the kids than she ever has been. She's getting old and tired, and startles less now that she's not hearing well... They were pleased that she never barked at them, and she actually appreciated their affection!
It's so nice to have Grandma Iris right next door! With Brian's frequent visits, he nearly ate every last piece of watermelon in her house!
On one of the last days of vacation, Grandpa took us up to Palisades Lake to do some fishing.
A visit with Grandma and Grandpa Copier
