BC: A Good Beginning Makes a Good Ending

FC: REVIEW | a year in

2011 was the year to keep our eyes on heaven. Sometimes we succeeded and sometimes we failed, but we continued to love our Father and each other. We learned to appreciate His grace and our many blessings.

is a little world created by love.

"In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." - Abraham Lincoln

At home or away, we are always entertained. With four kids, it's never quiet! We are certainly never bored. | The boys checking out the sand sculptures in Cayucos. | April | We rode a boat in Monterey.

Kaley made the cakes for the birthdays this year. She is a pro. They were delicious! The kids love celebrating their birthdays with family. I am saddened to think that we have a teenager and our baby is three.

EGG | hunt | We went back east for Spring Break. We came back to town the night before Easter. We woke up and went to our church service at the park. Morgan performed on stage. We then celebrated with family at Dawn's house.

A father is his daughters first love and his sons first hero. | Like Father, Like Son

Dad | Dad- He worked hard this year. He continued to work as a principal. He had a few incidents including a Mercury spill. He also came home and was a great dad. He coached Carson's basketball team. He got his workout running after the 4-year olds. During the summer, he devoted his life to Christ. He has read the Bible and prayed each day since making his commitment. I admire his ability to wake up early each morning to put Christ first. He has made a lot of extra time for me. I truly feel blessed to have such a great husband.

Mom- My New Year's Resolution was to "seek the abundant life" by truly living for Christ. I tried to live each day by loving the Lord and loving my family. This year I thoroughly enjoyed the business of the boys. They are hilarious. I loved watching Kaley bloom into a teenager and I enjoyed spending more time with Morgan. I learned to value my marriage and to make sure that I made special time for my husband. In August, I went back to the classroom. I was blessed with a great class of 1st and 2nd graders. The transition had its "moments." I miss being home, but I know it was best for me to leave CAVA. My stress levels have lowered. I am thankful for the years I had at home. I will cherish my moments of homeschooling Kaley. Now I focus on my family when I am home. They are blessings and I LOVE being a mom and wife. I also have been blessed with great friends. 2011 was a wonderful year and I look forward to 2012. I just want to enjoy and appreciate each day.

"Flowers look up to the sun: Children look up to their Mothers." - Jamie Bertucci

making | Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breaths away.

It's the little moments that make life big.

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken.

 summer time

vacation | FAMILY | Monterey in July

"It isn't how much time you spend somewhere that makes it memorable: it's how you spend the time." - David Brenner | DC in April

Kaley Kaley finished her 7th grade year with CAVA. I was her teacher! She started Olive Knolls in August. She loves it! She joined the band and has made new friends. She loves to play the guitar, bake, and write. She also likes to watch stories about ghosts. She is still responsible and is great with her brothers and sister. We appreciate all she does. She hates doing the dishes.

 Morgan

Morgan was busy this year. She participated in AWANA and even competed in the AWANA games. She also was baptized. Morgan played soccer and she started GATE at school. We are very proud of the way she is maturing. We enjoy spending time with her. We're thankful she was able to go on many of our special trips. We miss her when she's not here.

Carson Carson is a sweetheart. He is sensitive yet tough. He is thoughtful and very sincere. He mastered winking and would always wink at Ms. Elly. He also started a new school. Both Mrs. Courtney and Ms. Ronda are fond of him. He charms all of the girls and he has many friends. He is a special little guy full of happiness. We love him so much! | Carson & Ms. Elly

Carson & Ms. Elly | All Boy

Luke was easy to potty train. He loved Ms. Cindy at school. He likes to make messes when he is supposed to be napping. He loves baths and is very silly. He makes a lot of silly faces. He is so tough, he didn't cry when he had stitches. He now has Ms. Monica and he is a very good boy at school. He is our cutie!
