S: Pugh Family Reunion 2011

BC: We had an awesome Pugh Family Reunion and can't wait until next time!!!

FC: Pugh Family Reunion July 2-7, 2011 | Nauvoo, Illinois

1: All Because two people fell in Love. | Grandma and Grandpa Pugh

2: "Families are like fudge ... mostly sweet with a few nuts." | FOREVER

3: MAKING MEMORIES | Nauvoo Temple

5: It's The Little Things In Life That Matter | Cousins | Cousins

6: All the adults attended a session together in the temple. | Women's Garden

7: They were so excited to perform baptisms for the dead in the Nauvoo Temple.

9: We visited Carthage Jail and saw where Joseph and Hyrum Smith were martyred. We saw the bullet holes in the door and the window where Joseph fell to his death. It was a spiritual experience..

10: We enjoyed a wagon ride through Nauvoo and saw the sites and took a Carriage ride to Inspiration point.. | Pretty Horsey

12: Our family pushed and pulled three handcarts for three miles. We went over large tree roots and under fallen trees, through mud, and endured the heat and humidity. This experience gave us all a tiny glimpse of what the pioneers went through on their journey west. | BEFORE

15: AFTER | Time to clean the handcarts. | We survived the trek! We are wet, tired and dirty, but what an experience.

16: Just Plain Anna-Amanda | We were well entertained while in Nauvoo. We saw the Nauvoo Pageant, Rendezvous in Old Nauvoo, Sunset on the Mississippi, High Hopes and River Boats, and the kids' favorite, Just Plain Anna-Amanda. They were all wonderful.

17: The Nauvoo Pageant | We had a great time and felt the spirit at the Pageant. Such great talent was shared.

18: Stilts | The kids had fun at Pioneer Pastimes. They played lots of games that the pioneers played when they lived in Nauvoo. | Stick Pull

19: Smith Family Cemetery | In 2002, new headstones were placed on the graves of Joseph Smith Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith. | One large granite headstone marks the graves of Hyrum, Joseph, and Emma. | A gorgeous view of the Mississippi river from the cemetery.

20: The Printing Office

21: Post Office | and | Merchantile | The container the mail was delivered in.

22: Barrel Making | In the Family Living Center we learned how the Pioneers made candles, weaved rugs, baked bread in a brick oven, made pottery, rope making, and making barrels. It was a lot of fun.

24: Brigham Young's chair | Browning Gun Shop | While in Nauvoo we visited a lot of the shops and saw how the Pioneers made a living. It was really neat to see how they made things back then. At the Blacksmith Shop he showed us how they made horse shoes and also gave each of us a prairie diamond. | Webb Brother's Blacksmith Shop

25: Stoddard Tin Shop | Riser Boot Shop | We learned how the early saints made bricks at the Brickyard. Each family received a brick as a souvenir.

26: We had so much fun just being together as a family! We loved, laughed, played, felt the spirit, and enjoyed every minute!

27: Bywater House | Where all 21 of us stayed.
