FC: A week in Paradise
1: Our Honeymoon at Maui - Hawaii May 31 - Jun 4 2010
2: First glimpse of Maui
3: Maui is the second biggest of the five Hawaiian islands. We reached Maui on 31st May 2010 and stayed in a condominium in Kihei town, located at south west of Maui.
4: We started our trip with a romantic dinner on a sunset cruise organized by Pacific whale foundation. | Our first sunset at Maui
5: The cruise started at 6 PM. We were entertained with traditional hawaiian songs about the beauty of Hawaii. We were served veg food and cocktail. It was amazing and very relaxing to watch the sunset, ocean and the mountains.
7: Day 2 started off with Jet Ski.... Our daring water adventure ..... the one activity that was scary and most exciting.
9: Though we couldn't go snorkeling we made it up by visiting the Maui Ocean Center. We were in awe seeing discrete species of Marine life. The walk down the acrylic tunnel was exciting.
12: Sunrise at Haleakala mountains ... The sun rising from the clouds is an breath taking and amazing sight to watch.
13: We were at 10023 ft above the sea level.... The sun rose precisely at 5:40 in the morning !!!
14: At Enchanting Floral Gardens
16: We went to Old Lahaina luau which means hawaiian feast. The feast started with dinner followed by dance and cultural programs by the hula dancers.
17: We chose to dine on the traditional mat seating. There were two other families with us on our table who were a delight to talk.
18: Our dining area was in front of the stage that gave us a good view of the performances

20: On the drive to Hana our first stop was at Paia bay which is one of worlds best surfing area. We saw very few Surfers as it was very early in the morning.
21: This was our first trail on drive to Hana We trekked along a mile and a half distance trail to the reach the twin falls....
22: The next was bamboo forest trail which was the most thrilling and amazing trail.... we had to walk, climb, jump for a mile along in the bamboo forest.
23: End of the trail was a water fall ....
24: Though the beach was small the location was surrounded by lush green mountain, awesome sight | On the road to Hana there was a steep road down that lead us to the Black Sand Beach..
25: There were many small Waterfalls on the Road to Hana.. It was a wonderful scenic drive.
26: Keanae bay is located at the end of Keanae village. The rock on the bay is said to have formed by the lava that flowed and cooled down many million years ago.

28: Lava tube Visit | Wainapanapa cave, this was were Maui princess popoalaea hid from her cruel husband,kakae. She was later found by him here and killed. | This largest lava tube on Maui was founded 960 yrs ago. Tube was pitch dark and we toured it for 35 mins with a torch light. We could see the lava crust hanging from the ceiling.
29: The last stop on road to Hana was Oheo Gulch or the seven sacred pools. We stayed here for sometime to enjoy the water falls on one side and the ocean on the other | Vasanth feeling serene and meditating
30: This place had once been a palace/fort of chief Pi'ilani. | Our last day at Maui started with a trip to Kahanu gardens to visit the Ruins of Pi`ilanihale Heiau.
31: Our next stop was to view the amazing sight of Iao Needle on Iao valley at West Maui forest Range. | The needle is 1,200 feet (370 m) from the valley floor or 2,250 feet (690 m) above sea level.
32: We spent our final few hours in Maui at D.T.Fleming beach park relaxing and doing crazy stuffs...
33: Bye Bye Maui ... We are taking away the memories of all the wonderful moments that were spent here!!!!
