1: Abraham Lincoln (No middle name) was born in a log cabin in Hodgenville, Kentucky, February 12, 1809

2: He loved to read

3: He was an Honest, caring and brave man. He was also a great leader of the civil war.

6: Spent his youth living in small log cabins. | Later lived in upper class houses like this one of his in Illinois.

7: When he was elected President, He lived in the White house on Pennsylvania Ave. for 4 years.

8: Elected President on March 4, 1861 | Presidential term ended on his death date, April 15, 1865

9: On Jan. 1, 1863, Just before the 3rd year of the civil war, Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclimation, which stated "all persons held as slaves, within the rebellious states are, and henceforward shall be free.

10: Lincoln died on April 15, 1865. He was assassinated on April 14, 1865, by well-known actor John Wilkes Booth at Ford’s Theater in Washington, D.C.
