2: Line- it extends without end in two directions. | Intersection- two or more figures is the point or points that the figures have in common. | Section's 1.1-.5

3: Plane- represented by a shape that looks like a floor or wall.

4: Angles | Acute Angles- measure is between 0 and 90 degrees. | Obtuse Angles- Measure is between 90 and 180 degrees. | Straight Angle- Measure is 180 degrees.

5: Right Angles- Measure is that is 90 degree's.

6: Angle & Bisectors | Segment bisector- segment, ray, line or plane that intersects | Angle Bisector- a ray that divides an angle into two angles that are congruent.

7: Bisect- a segment means to divide the segment into two congruent segments.

8: Complementary Angles- the sum of their measures is 90 degrees. | Complementary & Supplementary Angles, Vertical Angles. | Supplementary angles - the sum of their measures is 180 degrees.

9: Vertical Angles- they are not adjacent and their sides are formed by two intersecting lines.

10: Parallel Lines & Angles formed by transversal | Parallel Lines- if they line in the same plan and must never touch | Alternate Interior Angles- if two parallel lines are cut by a transversal then alternate interior angles are congruent.

11: Alternate Exterior Angles- if two parallel lines are cut by a transversal, then alternate exterior angles are congruent. | Same-Side interior angles- two parallel lines are cute by a transversal then same-side interior angles are supplementary.

12: Perpendicular Lines | Perpendicular lines- if they intersect to form a right angle. | The symbol for perpendicular line is _|_

14: Equilateral Triangle - has 3 congruent sides | Isosceles Triangle- Has 2 congruent sides | Scalene Triangle- has no congruent sides. | Triangles & There angle measures

15: Equilateral triangle- has three congruent angles | Acute Triangle- Has three acute angles. | Right Angle- Has one right angle | Obtuse Triangle- Has one obtuse angle.

16: Pythagorean Theorem - In a right triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the legs. (hypotenuse)2 = (leg)2 + (leg)2. | Pythagorean & Distance Formula | A gardener wold use the Pythagorean theorem

17: Distance Formula- if A (x1,Y1) and B(X2,Y2) are points in a coordinate place, then the distance between A and B is

18: Congruent Angles- if all pairs of corresponding angles are congruent and all pairs of corresponding sides and congruent. | SSS Side Side Side- if three sides of one triangle are congruent to three sides of a second triangle then the two triangles are congruent. | SAS Side Angle Side- if two sides and the included angle of one triangle are congruent to two sides adn the included angle of a second triangle then the two triangles are congruent. | Congruent Triangles

19: ASA Angle Side Angle- if two angles and the included side of one triangle are congruent to two angles and the included side of a second triangle then the two triangles are congruent. | AAS Angle Angle Side- If two angles and a non-included side of one triangle are congruent to two angles and the corresponding non-included side of a second triangle, then the two triangles are congruent. | HL Hypotenuse-Leg- If the hypotenuse and a leg of a right triangle are congruent to the hypotenuse and a leg of a second right triangle then the two triangles are congruent.

20: Polygon- a plane figure that is formed by three or more segments. | Parallelogram- a quadrilateral with both pairs of opposite sides parallel. | Rhombus- is a parallelogram with four congruent sides. | Shapes

21: Square- is a parallelogram with four congruent sides and four right angles. | Rectangle- is a parallelogram with four right angles.
