Dear Laura, What a great 50 years it has been. We are very proud of what you have accomplished, but more proud of who you have become. You always were a pleasant child, and a happy child. You are now a kind and caring adult with moral values and good work ethics. The only thing parents could ask in addition to that is that you love the Lord, and of course you do. We remember so well the day you were born. Mom went to the hospital and was told she had false labor, and was put in a room for the night. Nobody checked on her all night long. The next morning grandma came in and Mom told her to get the nurse, that the baby was coming. And you did, right away. A lot of people have said you were the prettiest baby they had ever seen. Fifty ain't so bad. It's not the start of a screaming-down-hill run to death, as some have said. The later years can be bring a lot of pleasure. Keep your sense of humor and keep doing what you have been doing. Happy Birthday, we love you. Mom and Dad

Laura, It's hard to believe you're 50 years old. I still have a vivid memory of the first time I saw you. You took my breath away. Thirty years later, you still do. It's amazing to realize that we've been together for 30 years. I fell in love with you when I was just a kid and I have fallen deeper and deeper in love with you over the years . You are an amazing person. You manage the kids, the house, the bills, your career, and you do it all with love. You are my best friend and I can't imagine what my life would have been without you. Here's to the next 50. All my love, all my life, Chris
"A hundred hearts would be too few to carry all my love for you."
Laura, Well I think it is pretty obvious that I can't remember life without you! I cherish you as a sister and friend. You are always ready with a listening ear, kind heart and wise words. Thanks for being one of the best parts of the story of my life. Love you deeply and always, Debbie
Laura, Memories I have of you from growing up. You looked just like Marsha Brady from "The Brady Bunch". You were so tall and had the most beautiful long hair. I always wanted hair like yours. Your prom dresses were stunning, and I wore one of them to my prom in high school. You were the cool older sister I wanted to be like. I love and miss the sound of your voice and your laugh. We need to talk more often! Love you, Becky
Rachel Elizabeth Patton - Born March 7, 1989
Mommy - Thank you for all that you do. You do so much for us everyday that we sometimes take for granted. Thank you for always being there for me when I need someone to listen & always taking time to talk about whatever it is at the moment. You have taught me so much & still keep teaching me now that I'm older. Thank you for making life fun. I hope that we make you as happy as you make us! I love you so much and I'm so blessed to have you as a mother! Love, Racie
Katherine Elizabeth Patton Born - February 26, 1999 | Happy Birthday Mom!!! :) I love you!! I appreciate you and everything you do for me even though it doesn't seem like it sometimes. Thank you for taking me to practices and giving me food and clothes and a roof over my head. I love the way you ask me in the morning for what to wear. I love the way you buy a diaper bag thinking it's a purse. :) Thanks for everything Mom, Katie

LOVE to Laura at 50! from Mam at 80. 50! was my favorite birthday. I looked forward to it. I loved it. The ensuing thirty years have not changed my mind. I still think it was the best in every way. It is the prime time of life, You have arrived! By 50 you have made peace with your teenage notions of stardom, executive suites, servants and limousines. In fact, you are like the Velveteen Rabbit..... you are REAL! and that's the very best thing about being 50! We call you Saint Laura because you fit the title. Being part of your family is a privilege. Your life encompasses many roles.... daughter, sister, wife, mother....and your loving heart and gentle spirit fill every one. Quoting Flavia: "Our hearts count our blessings and give thanks with joy." LOVE! forever ~ Sue Elizabeth Collins Patton Davis
