My name is Layla Price-Wallaces and this is my Scrapbook. My scrapbook is about the relationship of me and a certain person. It shows how we interacted and what we learned from our experience together.
FreeVerse In a free verse poem, the rhyme scheme varies through poems. Even though the words don't rhyme, they flow together well. Also, free verse poems do not usually us a iambic pentameter.
Don't you love it! Yes I' talking to you. Just don't stand there and play me like a fool. I'm talking about love That thing every one has. That feeling of butterflies, or that one moment of knowing your safe, You sometimes feel it in your hands. Looking that one special someone in their face. You can see it, but you feel it more. It makes you feel, like you have a visitor at the door. you get all giddy, and smiley, and happy. You see hearts, and talk to cupid, and can't gt enough. But wait, you need to be controlled. Love is a drug, and you may overdose. Keep it in check, It's a sneaky devil. It can sometimes ruin you, And keep you stuck on a certain level, Of life. yes it's true Love can have you stuck, Like you're trapped in glue.
English Sonnets English sonnets are 14-lined poems broken up into four stanzas and one quatrain. English sonnets also have a rhyme scheme of ABAB CDCD EFEF GG.
Brighter than the morning sun, I see you every day. Sweeter than a honey bun, I call you my babe. I love your awesome smile, It's so big and bright. You're in my personal file, And you're that bright light. Even from the start, You would be my beloved. Strong in my heart, You were my first person to be truly loved. Now, I abide you a farewell, Not being with you, make me feel like I'm in hell.
Prose Poem | Prose poems have a tendency to lac in line breaks, but is written in a paragraph form.. | A prose poem is written in prose and not in a verse like regular poems. But in prose poetry, the vivid imagery and emotional effect is highly taken into consideration when writing prose poetry.
The first day we met; I knew we had something to share. Ever day we would work together to get better. I loved every moment of it. We would talk, run, and chill together, which made me very happy. We would always make each other happy. As the days went on, we talked more. We got a better understanding of each other, Our talks would last forever. Once I'd wake up, I would wake up to a message from you. The whole time we were talking, I don't think i have ever felt blue. Then as our attraction became stronger, I started to feel you way more. I would sit and think for hours about me and you. We were always happy. And some days it was just us there. We would be so close that, we wouldn't have any air. After awhile, we both decided, it was time. We made sure of it. The first attempt was awkward and cute but the second was a bull's eye. Then when the third came around, we was playing leap frog like little kids again. But the thing is, we were about to have a little us on the way. so i think we learned to play safely.
 Isobel Dixon
Isobel Dixon was born in Umtata, South Africa. At the young age of three her father had severe asthma, which made them move to a drier climate. In Graaff-Reient, Isobel studied English Literature at Stellenbosch in the Cape's wine country, before going back to her orgin in Scotland, where she studied post grad in Edinburgh in 1993.In 1994, Isobel Dixon realized tht she wanted to do something way more creative than become an academic. In South Africais where she furthered her studies on writing a thesis on adult literacy. But once her husband recieved his PhD, they had to move to London and then move to Cambridge. She found herself most at home when she came upon publishing. she was also proud to be working with wroters, amoung them several South African authorsshe had long admired. The work I do is varied, asorbing and inspiring; there's a bit of headspace to work on poems on the train(in between reading and editing manuscripts...) and London, as Isobel would say from her website http://www.isobeldixion.com/biography/. I love the city, its history and multi-culturalism, and allthe artistic energies and opportunites it offers. It's here that I went to Michael Donaghy's City University course for a couple of years, and met other poets who I have read, work shopped and published with. (She also said) Isobel Dixion gets her inspiration from her life experiences and writes about them too.
