Name: Dad Nicknames for Sahil: whatever Mom is calling him at the time! My favorite thing about Sahil: His curiosity to learn and his tenacity to always do his best. Prediction for what Sahil will be in the future: investment banker The thing I am most proud of Sahil for is: best student EVER, best son EVER, and best athlete EVER! The nicest thing Sahil did for me: His heart is so big- behind the tough guy attitude is someone who is so caring and thoughtful. One special birthday memory I have with Sahil is: watching him blow out the trick candles...every birthday! My advice for Sahil: Winning is not always so important in life. Find peace with yourself, you are so talented and you will do anything that you desire - but friends, family, health and happiness are just as important. Take time to enjoy your life - count your blessings, there will be tough days ahead, but just like a bad hole in golf, put it behind you and move on to the next shot! Enjoy the process, PTMES, finish strong, and brownies not broccoli!
My earliest memories with Sahil: his first ultra-sound, when you'd kick my hand while in mommy's tummy, when you were 2 days old and we would sit together at 3 am on the downstairs sofa because you could not sleep, when mom left me voicemails of your laugh while I was away on business, when you slid down the yellow slide and would try to make Annika laugh, when you were playing drums on Tikiba's containers, when I made the hole-in-one and you were there to see it, all those Star Wars books we read in your bunk bed, all those karate classes we took together, your baseball game when you lost your tooth going around 2nd base but still stayed in the game, the time you roofed your first wrist shot in the hockey net, the time we read the Tiger Woods golf book, the time we learned about PTMES, the times we went to Bittersweet - ughh, the time we went to buy two bats in two days because we got the wrong size, the time we learned about your intellectual gift, when you were first born in the hospital and the nurse was cleaning you up while you were crying up a storm, the time when Mommy held you for the first time, the times when we gave you baths in the baby-tub...oh how you hated bathtime, the time when I had to come to your swimming class with 12 other moms and take you into the water because you just would cry so much with Mom...
Name: Mom Nicknames for Sahil: too many to name and they are always changing! My earliest memory with Sahil: crying all night long (every night!) as an infant. My favorite thing about Sahil: He is so smart and caring. He is always saying "Love you, Mom" several times a day for no reason. Prediction for what Sahil will be in the future: I think you will be a lawyer because you are a great debater, or some kind of computer engineer since you are so tech savvy. The thing I am most proud of Sahil for is: he always puts in 100% effort in all he does and always strives to be the best. The nicest thing Sahil did for me: he hugged me and said thank you after I took him out to lunch during school. My one piece of advice for Sahil: Always try your best and be happy with the outcome, whatever it may be.
Dear Sahil, You are my #1 Superstar! I am so proud of you for your hard work and dedication! I love how hard you work in school, always striving to do your best. You have learned so much this year about time management. You rarely complain about the amount of homework you have or how long it takes you- you are such a great student. I am so proud of how you always give 100% effort in karate, baseball, and golf too. You are good at so many things. I also like that you are so caring towards your little brothers and sister. You are so good at taking care of them. Ever since you were born, you have never been able to sit still but now I know its because you are so athletic and have endless amounts of energy. You are so talented in so many ways. I love going to your baseball games and band concerts and carting you around to golf and then going out to lunch together! You are my #1 son and I love you TONS! Love, Mom
Name: Ramesh Dada Nicknames for Sahil: Sahilbhai, Gaptushi, other names come and go. Fondest memories: When you were very little, around age 2-3 you'd come over to our house for a sleepover and sleep right next to me. At first you’d come for “1 sleep” and then started saying “next time I will come for 2 sleeps”. We'd take you to Kohl’s and ride up and down the elevator. You knew the way as soon as we entered and would lead me by the hand to the elevator. And when I'd take you to the park, you loved talking with strangers, having big conversations like a grown boy. Nicest thing Sahil has done for me: At my 65th birthday, you gave a speech that was very emotional for me. You listed all the things I did with you while coming to your house every Wednesday. Prediction for what Sahil will be in the future: I don't know, probably a doctor. The advice I have for Sahil: Remember the important thing is to give your best in whatever you do. Sometimes you lose, sometimes you win. It does not matter. What matters is that you tried your best with faith in God. You also have to be a role model for Annoo, Saj, and Arj. I also wish you would calm down and relax. If adults point something out to you, just listen and be calm. Don’t get upset.
Dear Sahil, You have made us proud with all your activities and achievements in school, in music, in different sports, and especially in golf, karate and baseball. My friends at the hospital are always interested in knowing your progress. Keep up the good work! There isn't enough space to describe how much we love you. You have filled our lives with joy, happiness, and pride. We pray that it continues on as you grow up! Love, Ramesh Dada
Name: Sushi Ba Nicknames for Sahil: Shalu, Maro Raja (My King) My earliest memories with Sahil: At the mall I would feed him khichdi in his stroller while we rode the elevator up and down- he loved pressing the buttons. I used to swing him in the "ghodiyu" for 1 hour until he fell asleep listening to the Om Bhurbhuhas Vaha tape.. Also when I would babysit, he and Annoo would sit at the table and roll out rotlis for me with the "velan". We had fun playing tabla and doing "ta din din dha" on the pots and pans too. My favorite thing about Sahil is: I just love hugging him.. I am so proud of his talent in everything he does, like karate, baseball, and his studies. When he grows up, I predict Sahil will be: an ENT doctor! My best birthday memory with Sahil is: On my 60th birthday, Sahil was dancing so cutely in green pajamas on the stool. There was no music on but he was just dancing and dancing! I want him to dance like that and be happy his whole life! The nicest thing Sahil ever did for me was: He took his own pocket money and wants to buy me things like Fannie Mae candies. He is very kind-hearted. The advice I have for Sahil is: Always be on the positive side and God will take care of you. Always think positive, stay away from negative thoughts. Thank God for waking you up every morning. and say your prayers before you go to bed, even one sentence is good.

Name: Sapu Masi Nickname for Sahil: Gupthoosh (when he was little) and now Bup Earliest memory with Sahil: When he was born. The doctor who delivered him was a friend of Rameshdada's and would have let me "catch" him as he was born but Sahil's parents wanted to enjoy the moment by themselves! Favorite thing about Sahil: He has ALWAYS been great at sharing his toys, treats, etc. It's such a great quality to have and one of many reasons why Saj and Arj like to be around him. Prediction for what Sahil will be in the future: A farmer....j/k!! A doctor. I am most proud of Sahil for: It's hard to name just one since he has done so much at such a young age! I am so proud of his accomplishments in academics and sports (including golf, karate, baseball, pitching). I am also proud of his persistence in playing an instrument! Saj LOVES listening to you play the clarinet and can't wait to play an instrument himself one day! Funniest memory with Sahil: One night when he was 2, Sahil came downtown to our place to sleep over. It was everything but a SLEEPover!! After a few hrs of cartoons, we laid him down and slept on either side of him. He tossed and turned so much, rotating 360 degrees in the bed, and taking us with him each time! We tried driving him around in the car to get him to sleep but no luck! I finally rocked him to sleep by holding Sahil, his favorite life-sized bugs bunny stuffed animal, a thick fleece throw, a pillow AND a balloon all at once!! The best thing about going to Sahil's house is: playing HORSE together. Sahil gives me some extra tries and says "good try" when I miss to make me feel good about myself. AND I like walking around with no socks and never getting a single piece of kachro stuck on my feet! My advice for Sahil is: While I am so proud of Sahil both academically and in playing sports, I would like to give Sahil the advice that it is equally important to always show good sportsmanship and behavior. Success in life is not only measured by report cards and accomplishments, but also by exemplary social etiquette.
Dear Sahil, We are all SO proud of you--you are a very generous, kind, hard-working and curious person. We all know that you are going to do well in whatever you set your mind to. Annoo, Saj, and Arj have wonderful footsteps to follow in...we are so lucky to have you as our firstborn grandkid in the RJP family! Love, Sapumasi

Name: Rakhi Masi Nicknames for Sahil: Guptoos, Bup, Poopilala (when he was a baby!!) My earliest memory with Sahil is: getting the phone call on a Sunday morning saying today was the day! Sapu Masi & me rushed to the hospital and waited all day for him. We got to see him when he was less than 5 minutes old!! My favorite thing about Sahil is: as the first grandkid in our family, he brought everyone closer together when he was born. We all had SAHIL in common- we could stare at him, play with him and love him forever! When he grows up, I predict Sahil will: go to Stanford and love California life. My best birthday memory with Sahil is: (His) the year we decided to dig into his cake with our hands- no forks or plates! (Mine) the year he picked out a big green pot from Target to get me as a gift. He was only 3 or 4. And all the times he'd call me to invite me to PF Chang's or Cheesecake Factory. My funniest memory: babysitting him in 2002 and changing a diaper for the first time ever. I ran out of wipees and had to wash him by hand in the sink!!
