1: intro: | "we kill people to show people that killing is wrong" that doesnt sound right does it? well thats what people do they basicly get revenge on the people who killed others. in my openion i dont think thats right i am agianst the death penalty.
2: reasons | the death penalty breaks the ninth amendment. | -"it upholds the right to life for all to the maximum extent that is consistent with a persons own free choices" | it might kill innocent people | fingerprints may have been destroyed in the crime and might have a innocent person being proved guilty | may not have alot of information and just put a innocent person the death penalty | killing is cruel and unusual punishment
3: "counterterrorism legislation is a dangerous expansion of governmental powers" (rosen, jeffrey) | government has to much power | its wrong to choose the death of others | everyone diserves a second chance
4: pros | cons | capital punishment celebrates the dignity of the humans whose lives were ended by the afendants predation | it is difficult to have a serious criminal justice system without a death penalty | people may not be guilty | makes all of us killers for killing others as revenge | breaks the ninth amendment
