To a Mom, a Wife, a Sister, a Friend... Happy Birthday!
Happy 60th Mom! I'm so happy to be saying that to you! 60 is getting pretty darn old, but that's ok, I won't hold it against you. Now that you're getting into senior citizen status, I hope you take advantage of all the possibilities it holds (discounts at Perkins, etc.). Most importantly, I hope that you spend your golden years doing the things you love, seeing the places that you've always wanted to see and enjoy some time relaxing too. I am very lucky to have a mother like you. You and dad have shown Kerri and I so much growing up. I'm so lucky to say that I've gotten to travel to multiple countries and different destinations across the states with you and explore beyond just Montana starting from a very young age. You have always supported me in everything I do. Even when I make mistakes, you have been there to back me up and let me figure it out on my own. I always know that if I need someone to call, you will be there to pick up the phone and have an open ear. There are so many reasons that I love you that I'm not sure I can write them all down. You have been there to support my eduction and study what I love, and that has meant the world to me. I would not be able to be where I am without you, mom. You are a one of a kind, strong, hardworking mama. Happiest birthday to you and many more to come. Kati
It's a big one! Happy Birthday to YOU. Let your hair down. Unwind. Celebrate the way you would have when you were 20, maybe 18. Ok...unlikely, but now that you're 60, remember to take more time out to enjoy life, to pick up a few more hobbies and get lost in them. You always encouraged me to take interest in lots of activities and to try new things. I am grateful for that. It has helped me to become a well rounded person. You are extremely dedicated to your work and your family. Being a teacher afforded you the time to spend the summers with Kati and I and we packed them full of endless hours swimming in Flathead Lake, one of my favorite things in this world! You loaded up the minivan every summer multiple times to go on road trips, oh the songs I still know now because of your cassette collection! It has been really great to spend time with you now that I am a mother myself and see how much you love your grandchildren...and spoil them too. Your face lights up when you are around them. So, thank you for all you do mom, and all that you've done. Have a fantastic birthday and here's to a new year! I love you. xoxo Kerri
Thank you for the fine job of raising two beautiful daughters and now you've become an excellent grandmother as well. Thank you for being an excellent teacher for 37 years and influencing the lives of many. Thank you for letting me listen to your music. I've always loved to watch you play. Thank you for planning all of the travel events and all of the places we've traveled together. Especially thank you for the trip to Ireland. Thanks for all of your support and understanding over the 38 years we've been married. Happy Birthday! You have really held your age well, and are... still quite a catch. Love, Mike
You taught me to read, and mothered my amazing wife. Those are about the two most important things you can have in this world. Thanks a million. And happiest 60th Birthday Cindy, my new mother in law! Love Darin | To my favorite Dane, I hold you in even higher regard than the pastries your ancestors are named after. Jokes, but I do love those pastries and it means a lot to love you more. Both you and the family that surrounds you have come to mean the world to me, and after more than a decade of getting to know you, I can truly say I look forward to being a part of your family for decades yet to come. Dreaming of your company potatoes...Jud
I consider Cindy as one of my truly great friends. Since becoming neighbors in the "BriarPatch", we took trips with the kids together, had many boat rides and fun times on the lake, shared many cups of tea and conversations, and the list goes on!! Plus Cindy has a heart of GOLD! Thanks for all the fun times--and hopefully more to come, Cindy!! Many Blessings to you on your 60th!! -Nancy Nelson | I will always remember Cindy as the crazy, but fun, boat driver for Kati and I. I remember we almost did a 360 in the boat to avoid hitting a log once! She's always been like a second mom to me and I will never forget running across the path between our houses to play. Happy, happy birthday Cindy! We love you! -Carly Nelson Fors | Happy 60th, Cindy!! It's been great growing up with you as a neighbor. Can't wait for many more fun memories at the lake! -Anna Knutson | The O'Toole's are like a second family to me I have spent a lot of time with them including Cindy and appreciate all she has done for me over the years. She was even my 5th grade teacher and taught me all the state capitals and some awesome math skills! Thanks for all the good memories Cindy and have a great 60th birthday! -Andy Nelson
Cindy O’Toole, or Ida as Mike would say, This year is having a monumental Birthday. She doesn’t look her age, she’s still just a chick, A wonderful person and friend through thin or thick!! Love you Ms Cindy..we miss you so much on the BriarPatch. Can’t wait for you guys to COME HOME for good!! Amy, Al, Chris and Anna | One thing I love about Cindy is the fact she enjoys Flathead Lake as much as I do... be it sitting on the shore and watching the waves go by, or pulling our two little girls tubing around the entire lake on the perfect summer day!!! Many times I have been asked if Cindy is my sister....how fortunate I am to have such a wonderful "SIS". To my dear friend, Happy Day, Lovies Pam | Hey Cindy, Happy Birthday to you. What a great time to celebrate!!! Wishing you joy and love and wonderful things for the new 60's decade. It was so great to see you this summer, to be at Kati's wedding and to be part of the circle of life. Looking forward to spending more time with you after you retire. I had to be first to retire because after all I am your elder. Life is good!!! Lots of love and good wishes to you on your birthday. Thinking of you. Love BEV
Sister Cindy. May you have a blessed birthday even though it is the big one #60. Wow and I'm just a little behind. Where did all that time go? So wishing you a very happy birthday to a very sweet sister. Your lil brother Mitch. | I guess I will always remember the Christmas's and her amazement that Santa Claus looked a lot like Uncle Delbert! Dick | Happy Birthday my sixty year old sister. We spent a lot of vacations in Polson visiting you and other places like Lincoln. Our kids were always wanting to go see Kerri and Kati, very close to them. You are a wonderful person and you are so interested in other people's children. I have noticed since I have grandchildren. You take an interest in their lives. We are very blessed to have you in our family. The only complaint is that you drive too fast! Love you, Your big sister, Patty | memories... | Cindy, Wow... Seems like it wasn't that long ago when we were all young, no gray hair, and not having to worry about all the things we worry about when you get older. I remember being the little curious "pest", always wanting to know what mischievous things that Mitch and you were up to. It was great to see you this summer for the weddings... you looked great! Happy 60th Birthday, Cindy! Love, you're littlest brother, Scott.
Happy 60th Birthday, My Dear Sister! I have so many memories of you from a very young age. Can you imagine that? Bet you wish I would get Alzheimer's! The majority of them are very special memories. You took special care of me from a very young age biting my finger and toe nails off as a baby as you had depleted your own. Then you began shaving my legs at about the age of four, as well as curling my hair in big rollers and experimenting with makeup, fingernail polish, etc. I even was expected to attend “Cindy’s Classroom” before I entered 1st grade. I think it was called Romper Room and it was held in the basement of the farm house. You were a teacher from the very beginning! We were also Reserve Hawk Cheerleaders together. I was only a mascot of course. I can’t remember you displaying any interest in any type of sports except...Oh yeah! How about the time you tried to jump across the spillway at the Reserve Dam? It was probably a good thing that you just stayed in music as you were an excellent alto saxophone and piano player! I also remember you being a “Tijuana tall” under the direction of Lucy Smith! It was always such a hoot being Cindy’s little sister! You even let me share a bedroom with you and tell me all your high school stories. I was SO sad when you left for college when I was in the 5th grade. Totally devastating but I do certainly have all these memories that no one can take away from me. So here’s to you on your 60th Birthday!! Cheers and just don’t throw a party like you did at the Reserve Farm on July 4th during your formative high school years. I’m still hearing about that! All my Love to you, Cindy, on your special day! Deb
I love my Aunt Cindy, my God Mother. I love her laugh, her smile, her love for her family. I love everything about her. . I can't imagine my life without her. I love you aunt Cindy. Happy birthday. Christie
Ok, so I have a lot of favorite memories of Aunt Cindy. I also loved going up there for the summer trips. I loved listening to Aunt Cindy playing the piano. One of my all time favorites was when Kerri and I found spiders in Kati's bedroom. Aunt Cindy knew what to do right away (Kerri & I were freaking out). She grabbed the vacuum and sucked those spiders right off the wall! I have adapted this trick as well. Love you Aunt Cindy!!! -Elizabeth | What comes to mind when I think about Cindy? The first thing I think about is what a great cook she is. I have many of her recipes in my family cookbook. Her cooking rivals Grandma Lois. In my book that is the highest compliment. I also think about her love of travel. Cindy and Mike have shown the girls many different places in the world – what a gift. Happy 60th Cindy. We love you – Denise, Carl, Bryce and Cole. | My favorite thing about my aunt Cindy is her laugh...she's always smiling and chuckling. It's infectious! You can't help but be in a good mood when she's around. :) Becky | Cindy has always made me feel like I have been a part of the family forever. Have a great 60th! -Nadine | The thing that is most unique about Cindy is her easy laugh and her joyful nature. Many were the times during family gatherings when opportunities were presented to say something provocative for no other reason to elicit a response from Cindy such as "Oh, I don't know!" followed by her ubiquitous laugh. Everyone who knows Cindy knows her laugh. Thankfully both Mike O'Toole and myself are quite adept at getting this response from Cindy and it is fun every time since her joy is contagious. Being a joyful person is a good thing. -Mike Tangedal | Happy birthday to a great sister-in-law. You're always a gracious hostess ...you never miss a beat no matter how many of us descend upon you.. You're a super mom...turned out a couple of super kids...you're a dedicated mother, wife, and teacher. -Patty Petrik
