Surgery has been a large part of human existence all over the world for many millenniums
Because of lack of anesthesia, most surgery procedures were done while the injured was still awake. this was very painful and the patient would usually struggle and have to be forcefully held down until as a result, go into shock.
after battles, surgery was often necessary and was done often. the bad side was that tools and instruments were very unsanitary and often helped the spread of disease and sickness. in many cases, the surgery intended to save your life ended up killing you.
prosthetic limbs were sometimes made for those wealthy enough to afford them, as you can see they weren't the most advanced, and also not comfortable.
the tools that were used were made of sharp and accessable things including flint, fish teeth, and plant thorns.
aNCIENT SURGERY WASNT FUN. IN FACT IT WAS A VERY BAD THING. THINGS THAT MADE IT SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE WAS THE PAIN, THE PAIN, AND THE PAIN. KEEP IN MIND THAT THERE WAS NO ANESTHESIA. NONE
