3: BARS | Banana Bars 350 oven/10x15 jelly roll pan greased 20-25 minutes | Cream: 1/4 cup shortening and 1 cup sugar. Beat in: 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla. Combine: 2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp salt and stir into batter. Mix in one cup mashed bananas. Icing: 1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar, 1/4 tsp vanilla 2 or 3 tbs milk/cream to make a thin icing - Frost bars while warm. | Butterscotch Squares 350 oven/2- 8x8 pans 30 minutes | Cream: 1/2 cup Wesson Oil and 2 cups packed brown sugar. Add: 2 eggs one at a time and 1 tsp vanilla. Combine: 2 cups sifted flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 cup chopped nut meats. Mix dry ingredients in creamed mixture on low speed until blended. | Beautiful Teressa | 3

4: Chocolate Chip Bars 350 oven/2-9x13 pans greased 25-30 Minutes | Cream: 1 cup soft oleo, 2 1/2 cups packed dark brown sugar (1 box), and 4 large eggs. Add in 2 tsp vanilla and mix well. Combine: 3 1/2 cups flour and 3 tsp baking powder. Fold in: 2 cups chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped nuts. | Raisin Peanut Butter Bars 350 oven/1-9x13 pan 25 Minutes | In pan on stove melt: 1 cup peanut butter and 1 cup oleo. Add 3 cups sugar, 4 eggs, and 2 tbs vanilla. Combine: 2 cups flour and 3 tsp baking powder (Add to mixture and stir till smooth). Stir in 3 cups raisins. Melt in microwave 3-4 minutes: 4 oz semi-sweet baking chocolate (4 squares) and drizzle with fork over the top of the bars. | 4 | Keep Your Face to the Sunshine and You Cannot See the Shadow!

5: Spicy Chocolate Bars 375 oven/2-15 1/2x 10 1/2x 1" pans ungreased 20 Minutes | Cream: 1 1/2 cups shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, and 1 1/2 cups brown sugar (firmly packed). Beat in: 4 eggs (one at a time) and add 2 tsp vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients: 4 cups flour, 2 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp salt, 4 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp ground cloves, 1 tsp nutmeg, and 2 cups (12 oz pkg) semi-sweet chocolate pieces. | Chewy Coconut Squares 350 oven/1 8x8 pan 35 Minutes | Cream till light: 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup sugar and fold in 1/2 cup flour. Pat into pan and bake 10 minutes. Mix: 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tbs flour and a pinch of salt,1 tsp vanilla, 1 egg, 1/2 cup chopped nuts, and 1/2 cup coconut. Spread evenly over baked dough and bake 25 minutes or until golden. While warm, cut into squares | 5

6: Cocoa Bars 350 oven/2-15 1/2x 10 1/2x 1" pans lightly greased 30 Minutes | Cream until fluffy: 2 1/2 cups shortening and 2 1/2 cups sugar. Beat in: 1 cup light corn syrup and 8 eggs, one at a time. Blend in: 1 1/3 cups cocoa, 1 tbs vanilla, 2 tsp salt, 2 1/2 cups unsifted flour and spread into pans. Combine and sprinkle on dough: 1 cup chopped walnuts and 1 cup oven-toasted rice cereal. Note: Cereal topping may absorb moisture during storage. To restore crispness, open container of bars two hours before serving. Approx. 80 bars. | Audrey's Dump Bars 350 oven/9x13 pan greased 30-40 Minutes | Cook in small pot till Oleo melts: 1 pkg light brown sugar, 1 stick Oleo, 4 beaten eggs, and 1 tsp vanilla. Dump in and stir till smooth: 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt, 1 small pkg coconut, and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Dump into prepared pan. | 6

7: French Bars 350 oven/2-15 1/2x10 1/2x1" pans lightly greased 20 Minutes | Add: 2 1/4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed to 4 eggs, well beaten and beat until thick. Stir in: soured heavy cream (must be heavy cream allowed to sour - Commercial sour cream contains less fat and gives less tender product except in recipes developed especially for its use.). Blend in dry ingredients: 1 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 1/4 cups unsifted flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp salt. Stir in: 1 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1 1/2 cups cut-up dates 1 cup toasted flaked coconut. Do not over-mix batter. | Orange Butter Frosting: Combine ingredients, beat until creamy and frost cool bars: 1 lb confectioners sugar, sifted, 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup orange juice, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp grated orange peel. | 7 | Forever Begins Today!

8: BROWNIES | Brownies 350 oven/2-8x8 pans greased 30 Minutes | Mix: 1 1/2 cups sifted flour, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1 1/2 tsp salt. Add/mix: 4 eggs, 2 cups sugar, 2/3 cup salad oil, 4 squares melted chocolate, 2 tsp vanilla and 1 cup chopped nut meats. | Doris' Butterfudge Fingers 350 oven/8x8 pan greased 30-35 Minutes | Melt: 2 squares unsweetened chocolate and 1/3 cup butter. Beat in: 1 cup sugar and 2 eggs. Sift/Stir in: 3/4 cup sifted flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 cup nut meats. Topping - Brown 1/4 cup butter over medium heat and blend in 2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar, 2 tbs. cream, and 1 tsp vanilla. Spread on brownies. Melt: 1 sq chocolate and 1 tbs butter. When cooled, spread very thin coating over icing. | 8

9: Peanut Butter Brownies 350 oven/2-15 1/2x10 1/2x1" pans lightly greased 25 Minutes | Combine: 6 eggs, 3 cups sugar, 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar, 1 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup shortening, and 1 tbs vanilla. Add: 4 cups unsifted flour, 1 1/2 tbs baking powder, and 1 1/2 tsp salt. Spread dough into pans and sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped peanuts. | Super-Fudgy Saucepan Brownies 350 oven/13x9 pan lightly greased 25 Minutes | In a saucepan melt 6 squares chocolate and 2/3 cups butter over low heat. Stir in: 2 cups sugar, 4 eggs, and 2 tsp vanilla. Add Flour mixture consisting of: 1 cup flour, 1 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp salt. Add: 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts and spread into pan. | 9

10: BREADS | Aloha Bread 350 oven/4-loaf pans lightly greased 1 Hour | Cream: 2 cups margarine, 4 cups sugar, and beat in 8 eggs, one at a time. Beat in 2 cups mashed bananas. Combine: 8 cups flour, 4 tsp baking powder, 2 tsp baking soda, and 2 tsp salt and stir into the creamed mixture just until moistened. Fold in: 2-15 1/2 oz cans crushed pineapple juice and all and 2 cups shredded coconut. | Banana Sour Cream Bread 325 oven/2-loaf pans lightly greased and floured 1-1 1/2 Hours | Cream: 2 cups sugar, 1 stick oleo, and 2 eggs. Mix in: 2 cups mashed bananas, 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour, 2 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt, and 1 tsp vanilla. Fold in: 3/4 cup sour cream and 1 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Note: Do not open door during baking! | 10 | YUMMY!!!

11: Lemon Bread 350 oven/2-loaf pans lightly greased and floured 50 Minutes | Cream: 2 cups sugar, 2/3 cups oil, and beat in 4 eggs and grated rind of 2 lemons. Combine: 3 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tsp baking powder, and 2 tsp salt and stir into creamed mixture alternately with 1 cup of milk. Mix in 1 cup chopped nuts. Pour mixture of juice from 2 lemons and 2/3 cup sugar (or 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar) over bread when cooked and still hot. | Connie's Monkey Bread 350 oven/angel food cake pan sprayed with Pam 30-40 Minutes | 4 cans Pillsbury biscuits (10 biscuits to a can - cut into 1/4 pieces). Shake pieces in a bag with 3/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Place pieces in prepared pan - sprinkling 3/4 cup chopped nuts between the layers. Bring to a boil: 3/4 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon and pour over the top. | 11 | DELICIOUS!!!

12: Dad's mom and dad, Clyde and Lois Johnson. Dad with his brother Philip as youngsters and suddenly he's graduating from High School.... | Dad riding his motorcycle (What a hunk....looks like he could be in a John Travolta movie!), his sister Mary, and pictures of Grammie and Grampy's camp and the one Dad built when he was 16! | 12

13: Michelle's First Day of School.... Teressa does not look happy that her sister is leaving her at home.... | Easter... And the sisters are dressed for the occasion!! | These girls are having way too much fun getting their picture taken!! | The East Coast always has plenty of cannons for the kids to climb on for pictures.... Bikes for Christmas How Cool!! | SISTER'S....THEY WERE INSEPARAPLE WHEN THEY WERE LITTLE AND STILL ARE TODAY!! | 13

15: Our beautiful Children created beautiful grandchildren: Lance, Alexis, Nikayla, Michael, Daniel, Tanner & Kendra | Also featured are Lance's wife Amanda, Nikayla's boyfriend Nick, Michael's girlfriend, Darrah and Daniel's girlfriend, Kealey. Our family also has 3 great-grandchildren, Andie, Ava and Khloe. | THE JOHNSON GRANDCHILDREN.... | 15

16: MUFFINS | Betty B's Blueberry Muffins 375 oven/2-12 cup muffin pans sprayed with Pam 20-25 Minutes | Combine: 4 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 4 tsp B.W. cream, 2 rounding tsp baking soda, and 1 tsp salt. Mix: 2 cups sugar, 6 tbs oil, 2 eggs and 2 cups sweet milk. Fold in: 1 quart blueberries. | CAKES | Secret Chocolate Sensation 350 oven/2 layer pans greased and floured 30-35 Minutes | Blend 30 seconds/Beat medium speed 2 minutes: 1 package chocolate cake mix (with pudding), 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 cup water, and 3 eggs. | 16 | Michelle and Tonya looking so cute in their new red dresses!! | Dress for Success!

17: Karen Johnson's Dirt Cake No Bake/Clean Plant Pot | Cream: 1/2 stick margarine, 8 oz package cream cheese, and 1 cup confectioners' sugar. Mix: 2 packages instant vanilla pudding with 3 1/2 cups milk. Add 12 oz container cool whip. Combine all together. Place in clean plant pot. Top with crushed chocolate cookies, as many as desired. (Before adding chocolate cookies, you can poke gummy candy worms into creamed mixture.) Top with artificial flowers. Spoon out with a garden trowel. | Dump Cake 350 oven/1-9x13 pan sprayed with Pam 48-53 Minutes | Dump: 20 oz can crushed pineapple, juice and all, into pan and spread evenly. Layer: 1 can apple, cherry or your choice of pie filling over the top of the pineapple. Dump: 1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix over the fruit pie filling. Spread evenly in pan and sprinkle with 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts on the cake mix. Slice 1 stick oleo or butter thin and layer over top of nuts. | 17

18: B. Smith's Fuzzy Navel Cake 350 oven/9 1/2" bundt pan greased/lightly floured 45-50 Minutes | Combine and blend well: 1 box yellow cake mix, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1 pkg vanilla instant pudding mix, 4 eggs, 3/4 cups Peach Schnapps, 1/4 cup orange juice, 1/2 tsp orange extract. When done, cake will spring back when lightly touched. Combine: 4 tbs Peach Schnapps, 2 tbs orange juice and 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar. While cake is still warm in pan, poke holes in cake and pour liquor mixture over the cake. Allow to cool in pan for at least 2 hours. Remove/serve | Maddie Kimball's Red Velvet Cake 350 oven/2-9" round cake pans greased/lightly floured 30 Minutes | Cream: 1/2 cup shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar. Add: 2 eggs and beat well, add 2 tsp cocoa, 1/4 cup red food coloring , 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp salt and mix together. Add alternately: 2 1/4 cups flour and 1 cup butter milk to the creamed mixture. Mix till smooth. Stir together: 1 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp vinegar and add to batter, beat just until combined. | 18 | Friends Recipes!

19: COOKIES | Dot Getchell's Chocolate Jumbo Cookies 350 oven/lightly greased cookie sheets 12-15 Minutes | Combine: 1 3/4 cup flour, 2 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix: 1 egg (beaten), 1 cup brown sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla. Melt together: 2 squares chocolate and 1/2 cup spry (aka 1/2 cup shortening) Add to egg mixture. Add flour mixture alternately with 1/2 cup milk to egg mixture. Add 1/2 cup coconut or 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Chill dough and drop with tsp onto cookie sheet. Frost cookies with chocolate frosting and sprinkle with nuts. | Ice Box Cookies 400 oven/greased cookie sheets 5-8 Minutes | Cream: 2 cups butter with 4 cups brown sugar. Add: 4 eggs and 2 tsp vanilla and mix well. Sift together: 7 cups flour, 2 tsp baking soda, and 1 tsp salt. Add sifted ingredients to creamed ingredients and chill for several hours. Slice thin and bake in hot oven. | 19

20: No Bake Cookies stove top/waxed paper | Boil together for 1+ minute: 1 stick Oleo, 2 cups sugar, 5 tbs cocoa, 1/2 cup milk and remove from heat. Add: 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup peanut butter, and 3 cups rolled oats. Mix altogether and stir till shine is gone. Drop by tsp onto waxed paper and let harden 20 minutes. | Lorraine's Famous Oatmeal Cookie Recipe 350 oven/greased cookie sheets 12-15 Minutes | Cream: 1/4 cup Crisco, 1 stick Oleo, 1 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup sugar. Add: 1 egg, 1/4 cup water, 1 tsp vanilla and mix well. Add: 1 cup flour, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 3 cups rolled oats and 1 cup raisins. Drop by tsp onto prepared cookie sheet. | 20

21: Jumbo Raisin Cookies 350 oven/cookie sheets 12-15 Minutes | Sift together: 4 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp salt, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, and 1/2 tsp all spice - set aside. Cook 5 minutes and cool: 1 cup water and 2 cups raisins. Cream 1 cup shortening with 2 cups sugar and add 3 eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add: 1 tsp vanilla, 1 cup chopped nuts (if desired), and cooled raisin mixture. Add flour mixture and stir well. Drop by tsp onto cookie sheet. | Soft Molasses Cookies 350 oven/cookie sheets 12 Minutes | Mix together: 1 egg, 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp ginger, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp cloves, 4 tsp baking soda, 1 cup shortening, 1 cup molasses, 1 cup sour milk, and 6 cups flour. Roll quite thick. Delicious with date filling. | 21 | Dreams are the touchstones of our character!

22: DOUGHNUTS | Chocolate Doughnuts Stove Top/Large skillet Heat oil to 370 | Beat: 2 1/2 cups sugar and 6 eggs together until creamy. Melt: 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup cocoa and enough water to make a smooth paste and then beat into the sugar/egg mixture. In a separate bowl combine 1/4 cup vanilla and 1/2 quart buttermilk and stir into the sugar mixture. Combine: 8 cups of flour, 4 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp ginger, and 2 tsp cream of tartar. Stir the flour mixture into sugar mixture and chill the dough slightly to make it easier to handle. Roll out half the dough about 1/2 " thick on a lightly floured board. Cut into doughnuts. Heat 2 inches of oil and dip a metal pancake turner into the hot oil each time before using it to move or turn a doughnut. Transfer the doughnuts to the skillet, one every 15 seconds. Fry each doughnut about 90 seconds per side. Remove the doughnuts and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the remaining dough. | 22 | Tonya

23: CHICKEN, SEAFOOD & PORK | Broiled Chicken Italian Style Oven/Broiler pan | Sprinkle one large chicken broiler/fryer with garlic salt Combine in a saucepan: 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup sauterne wine, 2 tbs lemon juice, 1/2 tsp mixed Italian herbs, and 1 tsp cornstarch and heat to boil. Brush over chicken as it broils. Makes 4 servings. | Fantastic Chicken 350 oven/baking dish 45 minutes | Mix together: 1 large bottle red salad dressing, 1 large jar apricot jam, and 1 package dry onion soup mix. Pour over chicken and bake. | 23 | Michelle | Dream | Believe | Enjoy

24: Baked Scallops 450 oven/baking pan 25 Minutes | Mix: 1 cup cracker crumbs, 1/2 tsp salt and few grains cayenne pepper - set aside. Mix: 1 egg and 2 tbs water. Dip: 1 1/2 pounds scallops first into the crumb mixture and then the egg mixture and back into the crumb mixture. Let it set for a 1/2 hour and then layer in pans and sprinkle with butter. | Italian Sausage Casserole 350 oven/9x13 baking pan lined with aluminum foil 2 Hours | Slice: raw potatoes 1 inch thick in bottom of pan. Cover with chopped onions and parmesan cheese - cover good. Put warm water to top of potatoes. Pour 1 1/2 cans (15 oz) tomato sauce over top. Add: hot and sweet sausage and cover casserole with another 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce. | 24 | Always be True to Yourself Always!

25: Mexican Chop Suey 350 oven/casserole dish 30 Minutes | Cook: 1 box macaroni and cheese - cooked. Add: 1/4 cup milk, 1 can diced tomatoes, 1 small chopped onion, and 1 pound cook/drained hamburgh (aka hamburger!). Mix all ingredients together and put into casserole dish. | Karen Johnson's Spaghetti Pie 350 oven/9x13 pan sprayed with Pam 40 Minutes | Cook: 8 oz. spaghetti (drain), add 2 tbs butter, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, and 1 well-beaten egg. Toss to coat well. Spread mixture in pan Brown 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef and just as the meat starts to cook add 1 medium chopped onion, 1 medium chopped green pepper, and 2 cloves minced garlic. Drain meat and stir in 1 quart spaghetti sauce, 1 tsp sugar, and 1/2 tsp oregano, Spread 1 pound cottage cheese over spaghetti layer. Top with meat mixture. After cooking sprinkle with 12 oz mozzarella cheese and cook 10 more minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!! | 25
