In a state of shock Kino and Juana decide to go and see the doctor, Juana is instinctively sucking the venom out of him. When they arrive at the doctor they are greeted by a servant at the gate. After they tell him why they are here he goes back inside and tells the doctor. Because the doctor is a bitter and self-serving man he refuses to see the patient because they can't pay. The servant goes and tells Kino leaving him angry and ashamed.

9: Chapter Two After leaving the doctors house they head to the beach to hopefully come upon a miracle. They get into the canoe that Kino's grandfather had passed down to him and set off to the sea. After searching for a while KIno comes back up to the boat with a large pile of oysters and scatters through them. He later comes to one that appears to be perfect. He opens it and sure enough it holds the best pearl that the world has seen. In their excitement the other boaters are curious as to what is happening and rush over to see the news.

10: Chapter Three Fascinated by how fast news can travel they return to the town. Everyone is hovered around them asking what their future holds. Realizing all the damage the pearl has cost them. They then decide to throw the pearl back into the ocean.

14: MORAL OF THE PEARL I believe that the moral of this story is; its not what you have or what you can do with your money that makes you happy. However, it is having people who love you through everything life throws at you and going threw them together as who you are.
