BC: In your fourth year... | It's Fun to be FOUR. | You changed so much in your fourth year of life! We love you so much, and we love the energy, the unpredictability, and the enthusiasm that you bring into our lives. We cannot wait to see what the next year brings. Happy Birthday, Big Guy!

FC: THE th YEAR | BRADY | 4

1: Middle | What a coming of age year this has been. From baby of the family to big brother and from mostly non-verbal to a certifiable chatterbox, this has been a year of change for you. In your fourth year, you have blossomed into a funny, polite, and charismatic little boy. Your vivid imagination amazes and delights us every single day, and we love the way you own your quirky personality without apology. You feel things strongly, you narrate incessantly, and you are always hungry. Your role as middle child is a new one this year, and for that, your place in our hearts and in this family is special. You're the anchor between your siblings - a playmate and partner in crime for your big sister and already the hero of your baby brother. You have brought us so much joy over the last four years, and we are so proud of you. We are grateful for the adventure you bring into our lives, and we love you to the moon and back...times a million. All our love, | to our | Mommy and Daddy | child

7: This trip actually happened a couple of weeks before your birthday, but it didn't make it in to last year's book, and it was just too good to leave out, so here we are. We spent the whole week after Thanksgiving at Disney World, and we had a ball exploring all four parks, watching parades, meeting characters, and taking in all of the Disney Christmas decorations. You spent a lot of time eating Mickey lollipops, too. Your favorite rides were the tea cups and the race cars, and you loved watching the monorail pass by our room's window. You had an awesome week. It was a great vacation!

12: CUE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT | In this house, Christmas is, without a doubt, our most favorite time of the | year. Quite literally as soon as the turkey has been eaten and our thanks have been given, we are ready to put up our tree, don our red and green pajamas, and cue up the Christmas music and movies. This was the first year that you really "got it", and it was pure joy to see. You | were so excited to help decorate the tree this year. You make our holidays so very special, and we are so lucky that we get to share them with you.

16: Christmas Program & Party | Grace Pre-School Older 2's Class

17: I'd love to say that you sang Christmas songs with your class like a little angel this year, but that really couldn't be further from the truth. You rang your jingle bells and sang a few words here and there, but in general, you weren't feeling it this year. That's OK though - Daddy and Mommy are always proud of you, and we love any chance we have to spend time with you at school. Your grumpy face was pretty darn cute, too. | d e c e m b e r 2 0 1 2

24: Kyle & Christie's | Wedding | january 2013

25: Shortly after Christmas, Kyle & Christie's wedding weekend finally arrived! Your job as ring bearer was an important one, and you did great despite not being a huge fan of wearing the tux. You came down the aisle with a mouth full of skittles and processed out with a mouth full of gum. For much of the time, you carried your pillow like a football on your shoulder. We were so proud of you, and you had fun spending the weekend surrounded by family.

26: South Carolina | an unexpected trip to | Grandma got sick shortly after Christmas, and sadly passed away in early January of this year. Despite the very sad reason for our visit to South Carolina, it was a good visit nonetheless.. You got to meet and play with and get to know cousins and family and friends that feel like family more than ever before. You and Avery helped Papaw and Daddy both very much through a very sad time. Grandma will be missed, but her memory will not be forgotten!

35: we love | watching you play | There is no denying that you are all boy. After years of tea parties, baby dolls, and princess dresses, it is refreshing to see the shelves in our playroom being taken over by cars, blocks, and trains. You never, ever grow tired of playing cars, and you can - and do - turn anything in our house into a road. Often, we come upstairs to find your collection of cars meticulously lined up bumper-to-bumper from playing carpool or door-to-door from playing parking lot. We never grow tired of watching you play. | february 2013

40: Dear Brady, There aren't sufficient words to describe how much I love you, my sweet boy. You are my buddy, my wild card, my pal. You are my whole world. You are a part of my heart beating outside my body. Days with you are anything but boring, and you make me happier than I ever knew possible. Your imagination and love of life inspire and amaze me every single day. I love you so very much, and I feel so lucky and blessed that God picked me to be your mama. I love you to the moon and back (times a million), and I'll love you forever and always. You're my best boy. Love, Mommy

53: In May, we celebrated the end of a great school year in Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Julie's Older 2's Class at Grace Pre-School. You formed some great little friendships with your classmates this year, and it was sad to tell them all good-bye for the summer! You blossomed in school this year, and school days were often the highlight of your week. It was a great year! | Last Day of Pre-School | may 14, 2013

56: Great Wolf Lodge | Grapevine, Texas | may 2013 | Daddy had to travel this year over Memorial Day weekend, so we took a quick trip to the Dallas area to visit Great Wolf Lodge just ahead of the holiday weekend. You had so much fun playing in the indoor waterpark for three straight days. When you weren't in the water, you were busy playing Magic Quest with Avery all around the hotel. It was a fun weekend!

57: Memorial Day | weekend | With Daddy out of town, we were on our own for Memorial Day weekend this year. Thankfully, we have some amazing friends who included us in their celebrations. Highlights of the weekend were brunch, lots of pool time, the first watermelon of the season, and crawfish races. Our summer has officially begun!

65: You've been in a spectator in Avery's projects like this in the past, but this time, it was your turn to take the lead with an ant farm of your very own. After a couple of weeks of not-so-patiently waiting for your ants to arrive in the mail, you were thrilled when they finally came. You had so much fun putting your farm together, and you enjoyed watching them get settled and dig tunnels through the sand. You tried feeding them all sorts of fruit, but you soon figured out that watermelon was their favorite. When it came time to let them go, you helped Daddy set them free in our front yard. | j u n e 2 0 1 3

66: 4th of July

67: We started our Fourth at the pool, finished it off with fireworks, and had hot dogs, hamburgers, and popsicles in between. It was a classic Fourth of July, and it was perfect. You had so much fun hanging out with your friends while we waited for the fireworks to begin. You played Go Fish, tag, and hide and seek. You popped poppers and lit sparklers. You shared the star cookies that we made together the day before with everyone. And once it finally got dark, the fireworks display did not disappoint. Happy Birthday America!

72: Lots of summer memories were made of | Shave Ice... | So many evenings this summer ended at Bahama Mama - our favorite local shave ice stand. Though you tried lots of flavors over the course of the summer, your favorites were blue coconut and clear bubblegum.

73: SWIMMING | What a little fish you were this summer. Nothing makes you happier than being in the water. This was the summer you embraced and became obsessed with the diving board, and you spent just as much time jumping in as you did swimming in the pool. We are so proud of what a great swimmer you are! There aren't many 3 year olds who are self-sufficient in the water, but you most certainly are. It was such a fun summer! | ...and

74: Summer Camp | We began our adventures in little boy sports this summer with your very first baseball camp. You weren't quite ready for the commitment of playing on a team, but you were certainly ready to give a class a try. You and your friend, Warren, ended up being the only kids in the class. You had a ball (pun intended) learning to throw, catch, and hit in the comfort of the air conditioned facility. We know that this is only the beginning, and we look forward to lots more baseball fun in our future! | BASEBALL

83: By the time October rolled around, we were tired of staying inside and out of the heat and ready for some outdoor fall fun. With its pumpkins, slides, hay maze, and barrel train, Blessington Farms seemed the perfect choice. Sadly, your tummy got upset and the weather ended up being crazy hot, so our fun was a little short lived. Nonetheless, you had a great morning at the farm. | Blessington Farms | fall fun at | october 2013

84: SAWYER | welcoming

85: After months of waiting and waiting, your little brother finally made his debut on a Thursday evening in late September. JoJo brought you and Avery to the hospital almost immediately after he was born. You were over the top silly and giddy with excitement as you came barreling in the room to meet him. Every time the camera came out, you turned and yelled in his face, "Smile, Baby! Smile!" We hope that you always have this much enthusiasm for your baby brother. Sawyer is lucky to have you, and you are going to be an awesome big brother! | September 19, 2013

87: BIG BROTHER ADJUSTMENTS The transition to becoming a family a five was probably hardest on you. When Sawyer came along, you were in a phase where you really liked and needed undivided attention - something that was in very short supply at the time. With Avery in Kindergarten and Sawyer being a newborn, you were the one most often told to wait or to go entertain yourself. This was a hard period for you. You almost always seemed on the verge of melting down. We did our best to give you the attention you needed when we could. On this particular morning, while Sawyer napped, we spent our morning playing together in the playroom instead of doing dishes, washing clothes, or picking up the clutter. You were so grateful for the attention and so happy to have Mommy all to yourself. We spent a lot of time playing with your Magna Tiles, building multi-level garages for all of your cars. It was a great day.

92: HALLOWEEN | Months before Halloween, you unequivocally decided that you wanted to dress up as Marshall, the fire pup, from your favorite TV show, Paw Patrol. You were really in to trick-or-treating this year. For the first time ever, you kept the same pace as the bigger kids on our block and never once asked to ride in the wagon. You had a great night.

98: BEING IN THE WATER ALWAYS BRINGS A SMILE TO YOUR FACE! YOU ARE OUR LITTLE FISH. NO ONE EVER BELIEVES THAT YOU ARE ONLY THREE WHEN THEY SEE HOW SELF-SUFFICIENT YOU ARE IN THE POOL. GO FISH SOON BECAME YOUR FAVORITE GAME TO PLAY. YOU LEARNED ALOT ABOUT BEING A GOOD SPORT AND SOME FANCY COLORS LIKE "CHARTREUSE" AND "CAFE AU LAIT", TOO. | FOR 6 MONTHS THIS YEAR, YOU ATE AUNT JEMIMA BUTTERMILK PANCAKES WITH LOG CABIN SYRUP EVERY SINGLE DAY. I TRIED TO CHANGE BRANDS A FEW TIMES, BUT YOU ALWAYS KNEW. | YOU NEVER GROW TIRED OF WATCHING MOVIES & EATING POPCORN (LIME & SEA SALT FLAVOR IS YOUR FAVORITE). IT BECAME OUR AFTER SCHOOL TRADITION TO CURL UP ON THE COUCH TOGETHER WITH POPCORN AND A DISNEY MOVIE WHILE WE WAITED FOR AVERY TO GET HOME. THE TOY STORY MOVIES, FOX & THE HOUND, AND LADY & THE TRAMP WERE FAVORITES THIS YEAR.

99: Donuts | Menchie's | Zingo | Cars, Cars, Cars | HAVING A SHIPLEY'S WITH A DRIVE THROUGH ONLY A FEW BLOCKS FROM OUR HOUSE MADE IT ALL TOO EASY FOR PREGNANT MOMMY TO INDULGE YOU WITH THIS TREAT. YOU ARE ALWAYS UP FOR DONUTS, AND YOU LOVE THEM EVEN MORE THAN PANCAKES. | YOU FELL IN LOVE WITH BOARD GAMES THIS YEAR, & ZINGO WAS YOUR FAVORITE. THIS WAS ONE WHERE WE CERTAINLY DIDN'T HAVE TO LET YOU WIN - YOU DID THAT ALL ON YOUR OWN! YOU LIKED IT SO MUCH THAT IF THE REST OF US GREW TIRED, YOU WOULD PLAY IT ALL BY YOURSELF. | WHEN MENCHIE'S OPENED UP JUST AROUND THE CORNER FROM OUR HOUSE, IT QUICKLY BECAME YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO GO FOR SPECIAL TREATS. YOUR FAVORITE CONCOCTION WAS VANILLA FROZEN YOGURT WITH ICED ANIMAL COOKIES, GUMMY BEARS, AND SPRINKLES. YOU NEVER LEFT A SINGLE DROP IN YOUR CUP. | Speed Bumps | THIS WAS YOUR STRANGEST OBSESSION OF THE YEAR, BUT BECAUSE OF YOUR ENTHUSIASM, ONE THAT WE GREW FOND OF INDULGING. INSTEAD OF AVOIDING THEM, OUR PATHS THROUGH PARKING LOTS USUALLY INVOLVED GOING OVER AS MANY SPEED BUMPS AS POSSIBLE. | WHILE ANYTHING WITH WHEELS WAS A HIT FOR YOU THIS YEAR, MATCHBOX CARS AND HOTWHEELS WERE YOUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITES. WITH EACH PASSING HOLIDAY, YOUR COLLECTION GREW, AND THERE WASN'T A DAY THAT WENT BY THAT YOU DID NOT PLAY WITH YOUR CARS.
