This is a picture of a letter that Abraham Lincoln sent to Charles Summer stating his belief on white and black soldiers being treated equally. I choose this picture because I support Mr. Lincoln's belief on white and black soldiers being treated equally.

This is the poem O Captain! My Captain! I choose this poem because I found this poem very interesting and it was also very famous back then.

This is a picture of the ironclads used in the war. I think this picture is a really good example of the ironclads(the new technology); that was being used back then during the war.

This is a picture of deceased solders. This happened in the sunken road also known as 'Bloody Lane.' I choose this picture because when learning about 'Bloody Lane' I found it interesting.

This is a portrait of General Ulysses S. Grant. He was a federal officer and played an important role in the war. I choose this picture because this General played highly successful role in the second part of the civil war.
