10: After making a decision to follow Christ, J.D. was Baptized in Big Creek in LaFollette, Tennessee off of Hwy 25W.

11: A song that was written by J.D. Jordan. His desire was that all of his family make the choice to follow Christ and spend eternity with him in Heaven!!

12: J.D. Played basketball for the LaFollette High School Owls. He wore #24. In 1954 the basketball team won the State Championship.

17: In my freshman year of High School, I met this wonderful girl in Ms. Head's class. However, I did not start talking to her until the next school year in Ms. Caroline Woodward's Civics class. When I was 17 and she was 16 we began dating. On her 18th birthday (June 25, 1956), I ask Patricia Sue Kitchens (Patsy) to be my wife and gave her a diamond ring. Shortly after that , her family moved to Dayton, Ohio. So I packed my things and moved too. I moved into a boarding house across the street from their home on East 3rd Street in Dayton, OH. I found a job and began working during that summer. I had to start saving money if I was going to be supporting a new wife/

22: In May 1958, J.D. joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Columbus, Ohio.

23: After 10 months in the United States Air Force J.D. Jordan was discharged. His lovely wife Patsy was pregnant and there was no place on base for them to live. The USAF considered J.D.'s circumstances a hardship case and allowed him to leave the service since it was peace time.

24: J.D. Jordan and his wife Patsy became parents for the first time on May 21, 1959 when Cynthia Diane Jordan was born. They would have 3 other children, David Martin Jordan born May 17, 1962; Melanie Elaine Jordan born May 18, 1963; and Melissa Jayne Jordan born March 13, 1965.
