FC: Drovers Cricket Club 10 years | 2003 - 2013

1: The Collins English Dictionary refers one to: Drove —verb a. (tr.) to drive (a group of livestock), usually for a considerable distance b. (intr.) to be employed as a drover Drive. Drive a car. Try to drive a Maltese minibus. Drive a ball. You drive, you drove. You're a Drover. You ARE a Drover. You are a f---ing Drover. You f---ing drove her. Driving creates movement. Drovers Cricket Club IS a movement. It is something special. It's about more than cricket - it's a goddam magic show. It's about returning to one's youth - banter, cricket, comedy, lash. It's about enjoying those things again that we used to take for granted, but also evolving with the times to encourage new members and supporters. This volume is a celebration of the first 10 years of Droving. Who would have thought on 26th July 2003 that the foundations laid down that humid Dorset afternoon and night - with 11 players, one opposing team, one DJ and a few supporters - would lead to nearly 70 games, tournament wins, 6 tours, a pivotal contribution to a world record, a music CD, incredible lash, unimaginable comedy scenes and limitless laughter. The pictures will recount incredible stories, and trigger many more memories. Thank you for your photographic contributions, but even more so thank you for showing unbelievable amounts of form, on and of course off the pitch, to make this sweet mix ripen.
