S: Our European Adventure
FC: Our European Adventure Spring 2011
A wonderful sister, a special friend, that what you've been to me... so much a part of lovely times I keep in memory. I will never forget our epic European adventure. Those memories will last for a lifetime!
 Thursday, April 14, 2011
Touring Vienna was, oh so fun...even in the rain! | My favorite part of the day happened on the strassenbahn when you completely stopped talking and needed a nap. I don't think I've ever heard you that quiet in my entire life. Love you Sister!
Most of our day of Friday was spent in my classroom, but after work we continued to see new parts of Vienna. An evening meal of Schnitzel with Carrie and Amanda was followed by ice cream from Zanoni & Zanoni. The end of our day was spent exploring a beautiful Easter Market and taking some crazy photos.
 Friday, April 15, 2011
Saturday, April 16, 2011 Even though our trip didn't quite start as planned (leaking/exploding water pipes will do that), we still enjoyed many fun and crazy times during our 8 1/2 hour drive to Monheim, Germany.
On this leg of our journey, we will probably remember three things the clearest: getting lost on our way to Amsterdam | Sunday, April 17, 2011 | since the freeway was shut down, your reaction to our sleeping facilities, and Anne Frank's House.
During our full day in Amsterdam, we went ALL over! We saw the city, thousands of bicycles, windmills, cheese, clog shoes, and an adorable bus driver/tour guide. The laughter and jokes about umbrellas will never be forgotten! | Monday, April 18, 2011
Even though we weren't able to see Corrie Ten Boom's museum and clock shop, the day turned out to be rather enjoyable! | Tuesday, April 19, 2011
The flowers were beautiful, but the company was even lovelier!
The town of Lucerne, in Switzerland, was beautiful... expensive, but beautiful. Who knew a McDonald's cheeseburger would cost so much. The best part was probably the Fro-Yo. Yummy! | Wednesday, April 20, 2011
Sara, oh Sara! Where for art thou Sara? Verona, the birthplace of Romeo and Juliet was a nice stop over before arriving in Venice. By the way... have you heard back from Juliet yet? | Thursday, April 21, 2011
Getting "lost in Venice" was most likely the only time we actually enjoyed losing our way. Too bad we didn't get lost trying to find the water-bus. It would have saved us from "death by smooshing." Thankfully, the gelato made up for the discomfort. | Friday, April 22, 2011
The hills are alive with the sound of music...or maybe that's just our tour guide singing on the bus! Either way, for our last stop on our whirlwind adventure around western Europe, we explored the beautiful town of Salzburg. Seeing all the Sound of Music sights made me want to watch the movie again! | Saturday, April 23, 2011
Sunday, April 24, 2011 | It's amazing to think we drove through nine different countries in nine days. What an adventure we had!
Back to America for you...staying in Austria for me. Even though we go our separate ways, I will always cherish my time with you! | Monday, April 25, 2011
 Yummy Food!
Places We Stayed | Germany | Netherlands | France | Switzerland | Italy | Austria
