DEDICATION; I would like to dedicate this book to my cousin Brady. He is five years old and we do a lot of these activities together. WORK CITED: All of my pictures are from Clip Art & the Stickers.

I am writing this book based on experiences with my little cousin Brady. I’ve come to notice that little kids have such curiosity towards nature. This is important because they should be involved in nature and not be afraid exploring the outside world because if you’re not inside you’re outside. And inside activities are mainly watching TV, playing video games, etc. This can lead to child obesity. They like knowing what things in nature are why it rains, why it snows, why the leaves change colors, etc. This is good because t hey are showing initiative in being interested with nature. So w hen we play outside it is unstructured, and that lets lets creativity shine! Seeing his self-regulation in this play is so interesting. It is also important to have a commitment to being a very active partner, cooperation is very important because if you don’t cooperate than you could discourage his creativity. Also you need to have empathy towards them because they are still very sensitive on how they react to losing and such. I love spending time with my cousin because it is good bonding time for us, and we develop trust with one another. It is crucial for the child to see trust in you as a caregiver. Having kids involved in lots of sports or frequent play is very good for stress management because it help kids find a healthy way to handle stress. I think that my book can help caregivers find easy fun ways to keep children active with nature because I give fun activities for all ages! When I babysit my cousin, I love jumping on the trampoline, playing kickball, or hide and go seek all outside! It’s an overall fun day for everybody.

Weenie Roast! Roasting hot dogs, sausages, marshmallows, etc. are a great outdoor activity to do at a campfire. Letting your little one take on the responsibility of cooking dinner for the family would be a great, fun idea. | SAFETY TIP: While having fun at the weenie roast, make sure that at all times children are at least 3 feet away from the fire. also make sure they're careful with the pointy stick.

Another great activity is raking leaves because it teachers your child responsibility. It can also be very fun because once you're done, you can jump into the pile! :) | SAFETY TIP: after you're done with raking and jumping the pile and what not. be sure to check for tics, and other strange critters.

There's absolutely nothing better than a summer night, just laying on a blanket staring at the stars. | When you're watching the stars, be sure that you just again check for crawly critters, and strange animals in the night.

Basketball is a great sport to get your child involved in. It's fun for all ages, and a great way to stay in shape and have fun in those cold winter months. | SAFETY TIPS: Be careful of balls flying and creating bumps on the head. In basketball your child could fall and scrape his kee very easily. be sure to clean out the cut and spray with antibiotics and put a bandage over the wound.

Snow? Snow doesn't ruin a day at all! When it's snowing you can go sledding, make snowmen, and when the day's done enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate by the fireplace! :) | SAFETY TIP: When being outside with the cold. Be sure to bundle up with lots of warm clothes to avoid frost bite, and hypothermia.

Painting and doing arts and crafts is a great activity to do! It really lets their creativity shine! You can do them anywhere! You can do them inside when it's raining, or when it's sunny and on the porch. Art is something that can be anywhere, and be anything. | SAFETY TIP: Be sure to keep an eye on your little one to make sure they don't intake any toxic paints.

What do you do when you can't drive to the pool? :( Play with a sprinkler! You can have a water gun war, a really fun activity to do at home if the pool is out of reach. Or you simply just want to a water gun war (: | SAFETY TIP: Make sure that you are careful with buckets full of water, and the loaded guns. Little kids get choke or drown in anything. Also don't use water too hot. or too cold.

What do you do in fall? It's too warm for snow, and too cold for swimming. Well a great fall activity is carving pumpkins! Carving pumpkins is such a fun creative activity for your little one! | SAFETY TIP: Make sure that you're careful with the sharp knife, with the little ones around.

Music is a great way to really Spark your child's creativity. Letting them come up wit/ listen to their own types of music is very good! They can come up with their own dances, and lyrics, and sing-a- longs! You can play music anywhere! Outside on a beautiful day, or inside when it's raining! Music is wonderful! | SAFETY TIP: Just don't play the music too loud.

Let's grow a garden! Gardening is such a fun activity, and actually makes nature! What's better than a garden to really get your little ones interacting with nature! :) | SAFETY TIP: Just be sure to be cautious of poisons plants and animals. When you're done check for harmful critters.
