The Lohn Family We appreciate the hospitality from Luise and her mother. We also enjoyed the time spent with Thomas and his family. We hope to visit again some day!
Paris,France Our first night in Paris was a relaxing night. We watched the Eiffel tower light up at 22:00.
Notre Dame Statue of Jonas Original Chandelier
Gardens of Versailles Our Picnic in the hedge maze. We had 2 bottles of wine, bread, cheese, and chocolate. The weather was beautiful, but our feet were killing us by the end of the trip... the place was HUGE!
 The Palace of Versailles
The Louvre Mona Lisa Our first trip to the Louvre we ventured outside as it was closed, but we made a 2nd trip in order to see the insides. We only recognized the Mona Lisa.
In our French cafe... the waiter hated us, because we spoke English. | Playing a game in the VERY SMALL hotel rooms.
Berlin, Germany | Berliner Dome Brandenburg Gate Tower that created a cross. Haagen Daz ice cream!
Reichstag of Berlin. The wait to go up in the dome was over 75 minutes. We decided to just enjoy the outside view.
Berlin Wall We learned a lot from Luise about East Germany. She lived within the walls until the wall came down when she was 4 years old. Many people lost their lives trying to escape and it's hard to believe that this took place not too long ago. To the right is Checkpoint Charlie.
Premixed cola and whiskey in a can. | In Berlin most people live in apartments. Germans love to garden and be outside so surrounding most complexes there are garden houses that people rent.
Lukas came to visit. He's a great chef!
Fahrrad Tour 48 km = appx. 30 miles Castle in corner is where Luise went to college. We had to use the map because the ferry was closed.
Thomas' Farm After our long bike ride we decided to give Thomas a hand on the farm. First, we had to bring the cattle in. The cows were staring at Brett and I the whole time. Brett and I both helped milk the cows. We also took the fresh milk over to the baby calves. After all was done we enjoyed a fresh glass of milk!
Bremerhaven One of the two ports that immigrants departed from in Germany. We visited an interactive immigration museum, in which we took on the identity of immigrants from the past.
Germany's most narrow bridge. Hence the stoplight., one car wide.
 Clementine (Tina)
 A walk through Neermoore
Greetsiel, Germany Very traditional town near the North Sea. Known for the fresh fish and tiny shrimp.
 Eating raw fish, yummy!
 Leer, Germany
Meet Ola... What is it with kids loving Brett? | We taught them how to play Cut Throat in pool... LONGest game of my life.
Enjoying our last night in Leer with Thomas and Luise. Moni joined us for bowling and pool!
