FC: Happy 50th Birthday | Pamela Catherine Bearse Zibutis

1: Celebrating 50 Years of Pam

2: It is our turn to send some love back. Having you in our lives has truly been a blessing. Your smile warms our hearts and your love ignites the spirit. Thank you for giving us all the gift of YOU for the past 50 years. | This is a book - dedicated to Pamela on her 50th. You have given so much love to your friends and family over the years....

3: Your children, parents, siblings, friends, coworkers, and all you come in contact with have been impacted deeply by your charm, caring nature, and youthful demeanor. Thank you for inspiring us all to be better moms and friends -- and for reminding us all to have just little bit more fun. | Your generosity, unconditional love, and positive attitude has changed our lives. It is our hope that the photos, love, and memories shared in this book will express our gratitude for your continuous support and heart.

4: I have so many memories of Pamela, my daughter, my challenge, my friend. Pam you were born after your father was in a plane crash. My water broke immediately after they told me and I then spent 4 days in labor. After all that hard work, you paid me back be being the best baby. You trained yourself, never stayed up at night, and loved your crib & playpen until you were 3. At three years old, you came alive. You were called Chatty Cathy by me most of the time. One day I thought you were actually napping and your father and I went in to your room to see if you were OK as it was too quiet. You had pooped and played for apparently hours. It was everywhere, walls, every spoke on the crib, all over you and all over your Santa in his eyes, ears, nose, etc. It was one heck of a job for us to clean but we did and I still have Santa who comes out at Xmas to remind me of that very smelly day. | Then you got braces with a bar between both feet. That didn’t hold you down one bit. You managed to swing that bar over the crib and drop down to the floor so you could play or come join us. That should have been an indication to us that you would probably approach life and it’s challenges in the same way. You were patient as I was den mother for Mark’s cub scout group and you had to come to all meetings, you attended Judo and never were to fond of that and you went to all baseball games. After you won the 2nd place trophy in Judo, I think that was enough for you. | You and Mark were so different. He was quiet; you were chatty and very smart. We both admired that. When he was little he would always bring his questions about baseball cards to you and then go outdoors to his friends with the answers as if he knew it all along. One Xmas I let you each put up a tree in your room. I told you both to decorate and arrange your toys around the trees so I could take a picture. I went in to your room and there was the tree with everything in the room piled around the tree. I went in to Mark’s room and he had 100 little soldiers all lined up next to the tree. The difference made us laugh.

5: I remember the time when we lived in Kingston that you decided to roller skate down Elm Street. That hill was hard to walk on much less roller skate. You fell and I have never to this day seen a body so badly bruised. However, you knew it was a silly thing to do so you wouldn’t let on for one minute how badly it must have hurt. I also remember many holidays I got to share with you and the kids and many friends, some I even brought with me. You always welcomed us all and your cooking was always fantastic. The games afterwards with the kids and their friends were as much fun as the food. Remember reading all of Grandma Amy’s books and you telling me you could not believe the kind of books she was reading. She was just like you and would read anything anyone gave her. She also loved your cooking. | You are so talented and generous and have raised three great kids who are now beginning their own lives. I am very proud of you and them. May you reflect on your 50 years as having many accomplishments. You are a light in my life and it is nice to know I have a daughter I can always turn to if I need to. I love you and hope that I can keep enjoying and sharing those zeroes with you in the future years. Happy Birthday Hon. Love Mom

21: Auntie Pam.. Where to begin?! You are truly an incredible woman. You are someone I look up and aspire to be like. You are so strong and optimistic. And you always know how to put a smile on mine, and everyone else’s face. You have been there for me since day one. Remember when we used to go watch baseball games with dad coaching? I think those are the only memories I see clearly from my childhood.. Going down the “Cape” and hanging with the family. I loved it.. | Brittany Lyn Bearse

22: You have and always are there by my side when I need you. We were rather distant for a while, but things have changed. I am so glad we are so close and are bringing the family closer together. I missed everyone and the fun. I was always told how great of a sister you were to my dad and I feel I can relate because you are a very admirable person, and an amazing aunt to me. Thank you for all that you have done for me and my family, and thank you for all that you will do in the future. Happy 50th Birthday Auntie, I love you! I hope all of your wishes come true, see you soon! Love Always, Britt

23: Pam: Happy Birthday Sis! Thanks for always being the rock of the family. You are the one always there to help and do whatever anyone needs. Hmmmm some memories I have - I can still picture driving in a taxi during the Hurricane of 78 going to chinese food with you and Lori to celebrate the anniversary of your friendship and then when we got home we all held hands to walk to the barn and cover the animals with blankets from the house. So many good times on that farm! I can remember you taking me to get my ears pierced - I think i was 8 and you were 16 but you were my mom as far as the store knew! I remember after my accident you taking care of me and making me drive your car, you stayed calm when I almost drove into the back end of a car and told me I needed to get back behind the wheel. Thanks for always working so hard to care for your kids - you did a great job and continue to work harder than anyone I know. Your a great mom, friend, and sister - I know if I ever needed anything you would be there in a heartbeat! Happy Birthday may this be the best ever! Love Stacey

27: Ma, I wanted to write you a nice letter for your birthday but I just poured my heart out to you in the last one and I thought it would be really hard to so put that letter in this book and I hope you like that I've done something a little different. When the word love comes to mind, a lot of things pop up. All people have different opinions of what love really is. I believe that you and I have many of the same beliefs when it comes to love because anything I know or think I know - I learned it from you. Love is not something that can be taught in the classroom. It's taught through the act itself of loving. It is impossible to know what love is without have feeling it first. And I can't thank you enough for that. I’m sure there are many more people out there who could also thank you for that. So for being the best person you could for the last 50 years and the best mother you could for the last 28 years, I just wanted to thank you and let you know how much I appreciate it and I’m positive I’m not the only one. Once again thanks for being you no one could ever fill those shoes you truly are one in a billion.

33: Dear Mumma, In the 26 years I've known you, I have learned many things. I can honestly say most of what I have learned I have learned from you. I am so lucky to have been blessed with such a beautiful, caring, and thoughtful parent. You may not have ruled with an iron fist, but just knowing that we would disappoint you was the worst feeling in the world. You have seen me grow from a little delinquent child with a horrible problem with authority into the man I have become today. I know that I am not perfect and no one is, but I can say that everything that is right with me is because of you. You taught me humanity, you taught me to care, and even if I don't show it as often, you taught me humbleness. There is no way that me, Meliss or Jimmy will ever forget how much you have done for us. You literally sacrificed half of your life to make sure we could have the best life possible. There is no way we can ever repay you for what you have given up for us. I can’t even imagine how hard it was for you to give up your youth in order for ours to thrive. There is not a day in any of our lives that we don't look up at the sky and just realize that there was a higher power shining down on us, because we were sent you. You are our real life guardian angel. Well this is your time Mum; it’s our time to be your guardian angels. You raised us to be who we are and we are going to spend the next 50 years repaying the favor as best we can. I have been through so much in my life and you were there for me every step of the way. You were literally my shoulder to cry on. You never judged me for any of my mistakes and you have always lead me to the right path. I know that I will never be able to repay you for all that you have done for me, but I can tell you that I will spend my life trying! I love you Mumma, the type of love that simple words cannot express. You are they biggest part of me. And knowing that I am part you makes me smile because I know that I am at least part of the greatest human I have ever met. Mum you are my hero and thank you. Love Always, Frank

34: My name ain't Frankie, my name ain't Frank, its Frannnncis!

36: Melissa Catherine

37: Dear Mum, How is it possible to put into words all the beautiful gifts you have given me over the past (eek) almost 30 years? I feel like a celebrity -- with my very own personal "Pit Crew" on staff. You have been my teacher, my minister, my therapist, my nurse, my cook, my financial adviser, my hairdresser, my driver, my dance partner, my life coach, my historian, and my psychic. You are the strongest woman I've ever known, and it is because of you that I have grown to be so independent. As a teenager, my friends adored you. I get it now. I get why they all loved "Melissa's Mum" or most commonly, "Mrs. Z." You were the cheerleader, the shoulder to cry on, the one that kept up with pop culture, and the Red Sox fanatic. I was the envy of all my friends and you represented everything they wished for their mothers to be. Today, I love that we can watch a game, check out the players butts, and then have a traveling dance party in the car on the way home. You always have the answers -- and when you don't -- you encourage me to trust my gut, follow my heart, and do the right thing. As the years go by, our time together seems to be far and few between. We get busy with our lives and work -- yet we seemingly become closer and closer as the days go by. "I've been fired from every job I've ever had" is a lie. You are coming up on 29 years as President and CEO of this family -- and there is no way we could keep the staff in line or customers happy without you. You are, and have always been, my best friend. You have made me all that i am today. I will forever be indebted to you for the many sacrifices you've made to ensure the boys and I live truly valuable and rich lives. Thank you for always telling and showing us "I love you." Thank you for tucking us in -- even in high school. Thank you for accepting collect calls and tearful embraces. Thank you for being both parents -- even though it was the hardest job you've ever had. Thank you for the taxi rides, the school shopping, the cheering section, and the tutoring. You have and always will be my everything. On this day -- sit back and relax -- and know you are appreciated and loved. | I love you more than life! Wess.

You'll be in my heart forever as you've always been. We love you so much. Love, Jared | Happy Birthday Pam (Aunt Sheila)! Well you have been around for many, many years – ha ha – just joking. I am very grateful to have had you in my life for actually most of my adult life. I believe I met you when I was 18. I am most grateful for what I learned from watching you when I was just a new Mom. You showed me that the dishes in the sink, the unfolded laundry, and anything else my OCD was telling me couldn’t compare to what was really important. Sitting on the floor, getting dirty with finger-paint, and watching Sesame Street with the kids was what really mattered. I had a friend a few years ago that said she learned how to play with her kids from me. I told her I was honored to hear that but that she should thank Pam because that’s where I learned it. Have a happy birthday and many, many more!!!! Love, Tracy

55: Scratchy | Scratch was the best. She meowed super loud whenever we went remotely close to the kitchen, she climbed screens like spiderman, she pooped in the shower because she loved the bathmats too much to soil them, she ate moths, she always won in fights with the greeting-hong cats, she slept right on top of you so you would feel bad even breathing, she'd let you know shes done playing by turning into a vampire, and she always came when you said any name really high-pitched -- Scratchy -- Dummy - {Poopy - Awe Scratch.! Like I said... Best Cat EVER!
