S: Kenya and Lisa and Chris' Wedding

FC: Kenya October 2011

1: The Wildebeest Camp | Our luggage didn't make it to Kenya at the same time as we had to recycle our clothing!

2: Trevor and Janine on their first safari in Nairobi National Park | Warthogs and Children have right away | We got picked up from The Wildebeest Camp

3: 12 tons of Ivory burned here in the Ivory Memorial Site

4: We arrived into Kisumu and went straight to Lisa's house. | Trevor, Pati and Janine flew from Nairobi to Kisumu.

5: From there we went to lunch at Kiboko Bay Resort (kiboko means hippo in Swahili) on Lake Victoria. | Lisa opened her wedding jewelry that Wilma made for her and Lailah.

6: Liz and Lailah giggling together.

7: Hanging out at Lisa's home was great. We napped, ate Cristabel's dinner and watched Lailah be silly.

9: Chris said when he picked us up..."Here's some Tusker for the cool people!"

11: Lisa's house and walking to our hotel, the Nyanza Club.

12: We headed out of Kisumu and towards Nairobi.

13: We rented a van and made our way through rolling hills, small towns, and tea fields. All the while eating candy that Pati brought and talking about life.

14: We stayed in the most beautiful resort, The Sunbird Lodge for one night.

15: Trevor and Janine's cabin was called Guinea Fowl. The service and food was amazing there. | Pati, Liz and Janine went on a small hike around the property .

16: We hung out by the pool and Trevor got in with Lailah. The water was freezing. | Lake Elementaita

17: We hiked and enjoyed the views. The game warden even brought down our drinks!

19: We played cards, had dinner and then retired to our cabins with warmed beds.

20: We visited Lake Nakuru National Park and saw lots of amazing animals!

21: Baboons were everywhere at the entrance!

28: We returned and got a much needed rest by the pool.

44: We saw exhibits of traditional Kenyan homes, artifacts, dances, music, & song | Bomas of Kenya

45: Janet speaking with a Maasai tribes member. | After looking at so many traditional homes the pictures got progressively more silly..

46: Being in Kenya for Lisa and Chris' wedding was a trip of a lifetime. We are so grateful! Apart from meeting Chris' family and enjoying our time together the experiences we had were incredible. This trip was about family, celebrating a wedding and lots of animals! Goats, Cows, Ostriches, Zebra, Wildebeest, Warthogs, Giraffes, Black Rhino, Impala, Chickens, Buffalo, Roosters, Rhino, Kudu, Lions, Meercat, Bush Pig, Hippos, Guinea Fowl, Sheep, Donkey, Horses, Eagles, Vulture, Buzzards, and lots of birds and insects!
