FC: The Curious Incident of the dog in the night time
1: The Call to Adventure | The call to adventure is when Christopher found Mrs. Shears' dog, Wellington, dead in her front yard. He was stabbed with a garden fork. Christopher was later blamed for the killing of the dog. After his dad proved his was not guilty. Christopher was on a mission to find Wellingtons killer. (Haddon1)
2: Refusal of the Call | The refusal of the call happen when Christopher decided to find Wellington killer. His dad denied him and said ''stay out of other peoples business''(Haddon 29). Christoper didn't listen to his dad and tried to find Wellingtons killer.
3: Christopher's supernatural aid is his teacher Ms. Siobhan. She gives Christopher advice in his personal life. She also gives him the idea to write a book. (Haddon3) | Supernatural Aid
4: Crossing the Threshold | Crossing the threshold is when Christopher began to question the people in is neighborhood, about the murder of Wellington. This was crossing the threshold because Christopher doesn't usually talk to strangers.
5: The Belly of the Whale | The belly of the whale occurred when Christopher found out that his father was Wellingtons killer. Christopher then decided to runaway from home by train and live with his mom where it was safer.(Haddon131)
6: The role of the goddess was played by Mrs. Alexander. This is because Christopher open up to her, even though she was a stranger. She also gave him information that helped him with finding Wellingtons killer.(Haddon57) | Meeting with the Goddess
7: Temptation away from true path | Temptation away from the true path happened after Christopher meet Mrs. Alexander. She wouldn't let him leave right away because she was making "chatting" (Haddon40). Which kept Christopher side tracked from what he was doing before.
8: Atonement with the Father | The atonement withe the father occurred when Christopher spoke to his dad for the first time since he found out that he had killed Wellington. His father could only respond with a "thank you" (Haddon215).
11: Refusal of Return | This happens after Christopher went to live with his mother. His dad showed up and Christopher showed that he did not want to live with his dad.
