S: Nevada Walker's poetry

BC: This book is filled with poetry by myself, Nevada Walker, that I wrote when I was really sad or really happy. I was about seven when I wrote most of these pieces.

FC: Nevada Walker's poetry

1: MY DREAMS I may be a little girl, But I've got big dreams, And with the dreams that I've got, I'm not as little as I seem. I've got a dream to fly, Sometimes I dream of love. I sometimes dream to die, And then float up above. I sometimes dream, My dreams coming true, But my favorite dream of all, Is me there with you.

2: SADNESS They think they are every thing and that I'm weak, But I'm truly strong with a heart that speaks. With my life like this and staying this way, I'll have no one to love, I'll have no where to stay. I know I'm minute but I have a big heart. I may get mean because what they say hurts. My thoughts never run away from me, I wish that they would, I know I can find the key, but I'm too scared to look They try to help, but it never works. Because then we all yell and sadness still lurks.

4: Too little I am just a little girl, Inside an enormous world. I have to be the youngest one, And with that I have no fun. I am just a fever sneeze, Instead of a summer breeze. I just waste my time and cry, And all this I don't know why, Maybe because I'm a little girl, Inside of a big, big world.... Some day I will have my glory, Until then I'll save my story.

7: Darkness The sun can't shine when I'm sad, all is dark and dull. Will the sun ever shine? I don't know but not today or tomorrow. If I continue all will die from my lack of happiness. Though the Earth revolves around only a star and not me, I am not selfish, nor greedy, but neither forgiving.

8: THE WIND Sometimes the wind blows quiet, Other times it makes a riot, The wind is shifting air, It often blows my hair, The wind isn't ever seen, Sometimes it is as still as can be, The wind really often blows, On a winter day as it snows, The wind blows from the ground to the sky, The wind can help birds to soar and fly, I like the wind that blows my kite, Even if there is no wind in sight

10: What is a sleep over without any sleep there are moments of silence when no one speaks. We should fall asleep and dream away and then we'll wake up in a new day. | zzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!

13: SCHOOL IS OUT! Tick,Tock, There goes the clock, It's time to run and have some fun! We run and play, Wash sad away. But time is out, To scream and shout. We'll say goodbye, Until next time! | 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 SCHOOL IS OUT!

15: IN THE NIGHT I feel the breeze, Pass by my window, Rain touch to freeze, Too quiet to know, I see the shatter of the hail and snow, Lightning strikes as darkness grows, The moon comes out to light the sky, Critters creep while birds fly by, I hear the earth's howls and sighs, I speak the truth while all is lies, All the nature can't see the light, They hide themselves with all of their fright, Time to see that life is right, And faith is all they need.

16: SEASONS I feel the ground shake beneath me, Look out the window pass tree by tree, see many animals of different kinds, Sure that if I tried I could fly. I hear the chirping of the birds, It seems that they are speaking words, Colors flashing through the sky, I watch them fly with a twinkling eye, I don't feel contained, I feel free and alive, as if I am a word that never lies. We twist and turn slip and slide, while we go, on ice we glide, The snow falls gently to the ground, and then begins that windy sound. The sky turns gray, the sun fades away, may not again see the light of day. A horrible thing I started to see, I watched the leaves fall off the trees. The blooming flower had to stop, as dead became the lovely crop. The green of day, blanketed in snow, The rest of nature failed to grow. The chilly river slowly froze, and soon enough no boats could row. So, as the people in the cold weep, I wrap in a blanket and fall gently asleep.

18: WHAT WILL YOU DO? What will you do? When the sky turns gray, although it should be blue. What will you do? When the world falls apart, though it used to stick like glue. What will you do? I know what you do, you don't. But I do, I take action, those who care is the minority of the fraction. If you only thought right, You'd know that with trees we shouldn't fight. They are the thing that is main, But we make them feel such a horrible pain. I care not only for the trees, all creatures should be free, You'd want it back if someone owed you money, we owe everything to the earth, that isn't, but should be free. Can't you see? you kill, but will not realize until your own death, what about the rest? The world doesn't need you, Sp don't fight the hand that feeds you, Now, what will you do next?
