With love from Jennifer | Dear Mom & Dad, I hope you truly know how very grateful I am for every meal you cooked for me, every ride you gave me, every ball you threw with me, every gift you sent me, every story you told me, every lesson I learned, all the small steps you took. Even when you were tired and when things were not so easy, you put one foot in front of the other - you woke up early, you warmed up the car, you made the trip to the store, you stayed up late to make sure I was safe. You were there for me. I am especially grateful for the faith you have in me and for loving me for who I am. All of the opportunities I have had in life are because of the foundation you provided for me. You taught me love, faith, hard work and acceptance. You have given me everything and for that I will always be so grateful. Thank you for being so kind-hearted, so generous, so fun and for creating a family that is so loving and fun. I love you very much and am so proud you are my parents. Here’s to 50 years and many more! With All My Love, Jennifer

With love from your family and friends... | Golden is the love that binds your hearts forever. Golden are the hopes and dreams so long ago begun. Golden are the roads of life you've traveled day by day. And golden are the memories you've treasured on your way. Golden are the years since two sweethearts said "I do" ... And many are the golden dreams you've yet to make come true. Anonymous Love, Frank and Janet
Dear Aunt Maria and Uncle Pat, I love you more than I think you could ever know, and you inspire me and my family every day. You are so important to me and to the countless people whose lives you've touched. If you could see yourselves through our eyes -- the eyes of the people who adore you -- you'd feel like the angels you are. Your Loving Nephew and Family, Anthony, Michelle, Noah and Player-to-be-Named-Later | Aunt Maria and Uncle Pat, Where do I begin? You were an amazing staple of my childhood. How many lucky nieces can say they grew up on the same road as their cousins and got together over dozens and dozens of family parties? Thankfully, I've been able to enjoy your fantastic, and often hilarious, company into adulthood. Uncle Pat, from your Christmas crepes to your practical jokes, from your handsome French-Canadian looks to your hunting tales, which I suspect may be sprinkled with bulls**t, I adore you. Aunt Maria, your patience and humor with the above-mentioned uncle, your passionate activism, your infinite love for your kids and extended family, and your warm personality make me look up to you. Happy Anniversary. I love you both very much. Patricia Olga

June 25, 1960 -- Following a rainy, windy Friday night, a bright, clear, sunny day dawned on Saturday, June 25, 1960 (thanks in no small part to the many Rosary Beads that had been strategically placed under the tents that had been set up for the Reception and festivities following the wedding of Maria and Pat at Saint Anthony Church. Preparations for this event had been underway for more than a year and now that the day had finally arrived, all the planning, discussing (and even an occasional argument) were over. Let the good times roll! In my role as "Best Man" I proposed a toast to the Bride and Groom and I asked all the guests to join me in extending our best wishes to Maria and Pat and I hoped that their home would be filled with many "Plantes"! Fast forward Fifty Years to 2010 -- a lifetime, really! There were many new Plantes -- six to be exact -- and all have grown and flourished thanks to the years of TLC generously and lovingly given by Maria and Pat. Their children and now their grandchildren are their prized possessions and their greatest legacy. Who could ask for anything more? These words from “Fiddler on the Roof” summarize life so well: "Sunrise, sunset Swiftly fly the years, One season following another, Laden with happiness and tears." Best wishes for many more years of happiness and good health to enjoy another generation of Plantes (but not too soon.) Frank
 Thank you!
