1: The International Pavilion is the premier destination at Pimlico Race Course on Preakness Day. The 2014 International Pavilion at the Preakness Stakes will once again welcome a new host nation, featuring its cuisine, culture and business strength which will bring Washington DC’s international, diplomatic, and business communities together to enjoy a day at the races filled with excitement and conviviality. The International Pavilion brings the “World to the Preakness.”
2: On May 17, 2014 the eyes of the sporting world will be set on historic Pimlico Race Course for the 139th running of the Preakness Stakes, the middle jewel of horse racing’s Triple Crown. As the pivotal race in the hunt for the elusive Triple Crown, the Preakness has played host to racing's elite champions. From War Admiral, to Citation, Secretariat to Affirmed, only the most valiant make it to Pimlico’s historic Winners Circle.
6: President of the Maryland Jockey Club Tom Chuckas, Ambassador Jorge Dezcallar, Teresa Dezcallar and Governor of Maryland Martin O’Malley | The inaugural International Pavilion at the Preakness, with the Embassy of Spain and Ambassador Jorge Dezcallar serving as Honorary Host.
7: Governor of Maryland Martin O'Malley, Veronica Sarukhan-Valencia, Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan and the President of the Maryland Jockey Club Tom Chuckas | The second International Pavilion at the Preakness, featuring the Embassy of Mexico and Ambassador and Mrs. Sarukhan-Valencia as Honorary Host and Hostess.
