2: Mesopotamia The people of Mesopotamia used a wheel and axis to make transportation easier which was a form of technology . | Sumerian's oldest governments were controlled by the temple priests. In Mesopotamia when the rivers flooded it produced silt. The Mesopotamian city states were always at war. | A part of Mesopotamia's geography is a form of land between two rivers. The form of land is called the Fertile Crescent. The Sumerian's religion is polytheistic which means they believe in more than one god. | In Mesopotamia, the written language is cuneiform.
3: The Sumerian's believed strongly in Hammurabi's code which was basically the same thing as an eye for an eye. | The Mesopotamian government was contr0lled by the temple priests because the people believed that the priests hear from god. | The social classes in Mesopotamia was first the priests, then the upper class, the lower class, and then the slaves.
4: Egypt | The rivers that are in Egypt, flow from south to north. The religion in Egypt is polytheistic, and the sun god is one of the most important gods. In Egypt, many of the people that lived there used slavery. | A part of Egypt's science and technology is the pyramids which are tombs for the pharaohs. After people die in Egypt, some people use mummification which is the process of preserving the body for the afterlife. | In Egypt, the people have their own language and the language is called Hieroglyphics. A part of the geography in Egypt is the Nile River, and when the Nile River overflows, it produces silt.
5: In Egypt's government, the Pharaohs ruled kings and the Pharaohs are seen as god. | Egypt was divided into upper and lower kingdoms until they joined together in 3000 B.C. | The Egyptian social classes were first the Pharaoh, Nobles and Priests, Soldiers, Scribes, Merchants, Artisans, Farmers, and lastly, slaves and servants.
6: Indus Valley | For technology the Indus Valley have a plumbing and sewage system. In the Indus Valley the people have their own written language. A part of the geography in Indus Valley is a subcontinent. | In Indus Valley, the people there have a strong central government. The Indus Valley is between the Indus and Ganges rivers. | The Main religion in the Indus Valley is polytheistic. The Himalayas are to north of the Indus Valley.
7: In Indus Valley there is monsoons which are seasonal winds that bring wind or dry air. | The people that made the cities in Indus Valley, planned the cities on a grid system. | For the Indus Valley social classes, the upper class were the priests and soldiers. The middle class were the merchants, farmers, and tradesmen. The lower class were servants, and menial laborers.
8: China | A part of China's geography is that it is between the Yellow and Yangtze Rivers. In China, the Himalaya mountains are to the south, and the Gobi desert is to the north. In China, the Mandate Of Heaven means that the ruler had divine approval. | China is home to one of the most famous landmarks which is the Great Wall Of China. In China, the people there have their own written language, it is called Chinese. | Chinese religions are revolved around family, Chinese families are patriarchal. Chinese families are central, which means the families believe that their ancestors bring blessings or curses.
9: The social classes in China are Rulers (at the top) Nobles, Craftspeople, Traders, Farmers, and Slaves. | Some of China's technology is flood control and irrigation. | The government in China is ruled by an Emperor and his royal family.
