1: The African Americans that lived in tribes fear that the trades would come and take them to be slaves. they would tie the Africans up when they captured them and put brown sacks over there heads and dirty socks in there mouth. After being slaves in Africa the African Americans were sold to other people and some were sent to ships that shipped them over to America to be sold and to be slaves

2: After they were sold they were walked to ships. when they got to the ships the were send down below the deck there were many African Americans. it was so crowded that each person only had about 18 inches of space to move around. while they were on the ship many people died due to stale air because the people around them were ill and there was a tube at the one end of the ship were they could use the bathroom but it was rarely empty so many young children fell in and died.

4: when the African Americans got to where they were going the were sold the land owners and merchants would come on the boat when it arrived to see how healthy they were and then they you sell the the next day. the slaves worked in the fields and in the house doing the dirty work the slaves were sold in Africa, united states Indies and england. some slaves learned how to read and write but not many.
